Good Lord, we just gotta make games interesting with our shaky defense,
Coach Vitello's teams have never had defense as their strong suit, but this season has been worse.
How much does the coaching staff stress defense for this program or is it just, "we'll outscore everybody" ?

It is 100% why that, whenever we drive from SC to a UT game in any sport, that I make dang sure I don’t get out of radio range before I listen to the postgame call-in. I will sit In Calhoun’s or somewhere, or just sit in the car and listen to it. Some of these calls are pure gold 😂

You don’t make the improvement at first base that Fischer has without focus on defense.

Fans have always and will always have their opinion. What is wrong with that? It's ok to question a coaches decision. Tony should get more of a leash from the fans tho, bc he has won. CKW on the other hand has and will probably cost us another important game with her poor decision making...Monica Abbott against Arizona decision costing us a NC comes to mind and Thursday against OU.

Do 99% of fans sound stupid when questioning the coach, YES. Does that mean they should just stay quiet like good little boys and girls, NO. Let them enjoy it the way they want to. Yes, it can be annoying, but everyone is annoying to someone...and if you're married, you know who you annoy every day 😁.

Glad to get this win tonight. Biased take, but thought AJ pitched really well. Less than a year back from TJ surgery, he’s worked hard to come back to help this team. In a time when “me first” athletes dominate the spotlight, this is a refreshing reminder of what it means to put the team first. There is a great article on RTI that covers his remarkable recovery and desire to get back on the field with his teammates this season before he gets drafted.

As far as the game, the first walk was crap and then 2 fielding errors extended the game when it should have been over. But most important, battled through it and the team won.

Really only used two arms tonight (Arvy threw 5 pitches) so should be as good as we can be for the final.

Go Vols!

Anyone else watch the split screen broadcast on ESPNU to try and catch glimpses of our game? During the broadcast the commentstors were debating which comeback was better when it was GT 10 - Murray st 10 and Clemson 5 - WVU 4....only for both comeback teams to lose! What a jinx!

Reminds me of the days of when they had that really nice playground in the stadium. We would take kids there just becuase they loved that playground.
