I’d say start with Russell

If you gear Russell up, you likely burn a potential starter of a Game 3/4 (if necessary.)

Plus, it is way outside his routine for the year, and I am not sure that is a Coach V move that would be made right now. Maybe if we needed two innings to close out a win, but I don’t think Coach would commit to burning Phillips, Russell and a closer just yet.

But, I respect the fact that you will give a name.

It’s not a balk. You can fake to third. Think of the play with runners on 1st and 3rd where the pitcher fakes to third then turns to see if the runner on 1st took off for second.
