I don't think we've seen enough of a sample size of Maurer tonight to know.

but... If this ends up being Maurer - regressed from last season, is JG's lack of development actually NOT on him? Scary thought - would he be elite or-- even fantastic under another coaching staff for the last 3 years? - such a scary thought.

Maurer probably has regressed. He got no snaps in fall practice. Pruitt admitted he only gave snaps to JG and Shrout. Then we give him no game time in the blowout losses. So here we are. A kid learning on the job in a hostile situation. The same type of situations they handed him last season.

I'll say this, Maurer's body language is 1000x better than JGs. He at least acts like he cares.
