He has not shown the ability to go through his reads in 2 seasons now. Just not sure he's ever going to be able to do this

We've had a p*ss poor conditioning program for years and our players on defense just aren't very good. It's hard to tackle when you are weaker and slower than the guy you are trying to tackle. It will take time. Oh, and are you implying that most high school and youth league coaches are good at teaching fundamentals?

Proper tackling tecnique has little do do with the S&C program, but they've been in Pruitt's S&C program for 10 months now anyway.

Why do our guys get a pass in being terrible at fundamental tackling? You think our recruits have terrible high school coaches, and all the other recruits in the country don't and that's why in their junior year of college they still can't wrap up a tackle? Please.

He’s called a few questionable calls. But for the most part it’s been solid

And that’s really my point, setting my frustration aside. Had AU on their heels, just picked off a pass in their territory and he completely abandons a passing game that was killing AUs secondary. Man we should have put the hammer down on them right then and there. No way I run the ball on first down with momentum and passing game in our favor there.

i have, and you make a good point. The caveat to that though is that their big money people can’t stand playing 2nd fiddle to bama, even though they always have for the most part. I don’t think it’s likely, but if the wheels fell completely off they could figure out a way to make the buyout happen
