Vols have played tonight pretty much like you would expect a very short handed young team with decent coaching to play, on the road against one of the better teams in the country. Played well early, made many mistakes but were in the game until the lack of depth became obvious. I honestly don’t know what some of you expect. TN is in year one of a massive rebuild. I saw definite signs of improvement from what we had been seeing the last few years. We need more and better players that can compete at this level. That should come. If we just have a modicum of patience.

Outside of Evans, pretty much the entirety of the offense was pretty bad. Hooker could hit anything, oline was collapsing on every other play, receivers couldn't catch...

Hooker wasn’t as much of an issue as bad snaps and drops.
