Seriously? I know 3 well respected posters in the Zone that post everyday, that are either active or retired Military personnel. At least 2 more that I think are one of the two and several others that post on VN. I have never seen a post by any of them that boast about what they do, what they've done or how smart they are.


Don't know and don't care if he is BS'ing or not, I just don't appreciate the representation of the same force of the other guys.

That's the way I see it Sarge. TIFWIW.

In the Zone, it's best to stick your toe in first to test the waters. No reason to go hard out of the gate.

The funny thing is that the only things he gets right is the stuff we told him outright. Hell, I could do that.

He is not married. Works with CST which is either customer service training or computer simulations training. I'm leaning towards the later. The former was a joke. I believe he left the military or went reserves but I'm guessing he works with a contractor to the military. He's a blow hard but he wants to fit in so he tends to overdo it.
He's intelligent but he's been around the military long enough that he thinks he's highly intelligent because they tend to promote a lot of mediocrity due to their infrastructure which makes above average people think they're Einstein.
FTR my uncle suffers the same affliction is how I know it so well and he was a full bird Colonel.
He's a loner and single because he doesn't talk about much and he's really more looking for something to talk about. He's cocky but that's typically a learned military coping mechanism. He will back down though which leads me to believe he does want friends or relationships on here.

I don't follow him much though and my memory sucks so I could have missed obvious cues.

Wrong. I dont talk about anything personal but work. So whether I am married (which until I feel like it most of you will not know) and whether I have children ( again same as above) is a relative moot point. When I feel like opening up to you all more I will. I am a platform instructor. I was active and am in the reserves. I have mentioned this before. I dont care about fitting in but I do overdo things. I am overly confident about things but try not to show them. I am really defensive when attacked and thats when my cockiness comes out. I do apologize for my outburst. I generally do not like to brag unless I am attacked. Braging breeds condescension. As an instructor I try to keep away from being condescending as students will shut down and not be receptive. I agree that the military promotes mediocrity. Does that factor into my promotions? I dont know. I know a lots of my previous leaders have had a lot of faith in me, especially when in leadership positions. As far as friends on here, I honestly could careless. I do enjoy a lot of the content on the forums as I find most of the antics on here to be funny.
