Using a slang term for a dic$ for a homerun is just stupid - it was stupid when the first person used it in the context of a homerun and will remain stupid.
Someday baseball broadcasts will start showing us defensive alignment as a part of the hud, and it won't be quite as annoying then. Just sucks when you think something is a hit, when unbeknownst to you, the defense had a guy standing right next to second base, or had a guy in shallow right...
Some folks think they know more about the game and its sweet nuisances than Sparky Anderson, Bobby Cox, Jim Leland, and Tommy Lasorda combined. Sheesh!!!
