Or name the women's coach of the year award after her. Like the Naismith for men's.

The Wooden Award is given to the best male AND female players. Seems like that could be split.

Assuming that Geno wins more NCs, it would be awesome if all future trophies had her name on it.

The best idea that I've heard is naming the women's NCAAT championship trophy after her. The Thompson-Boling Arena wasn't built to include the women. Pat raised hell to get the LV games played in there. I kind of wished that the LVs would have owned Stokely and preserved it.

I too think it would have been cool if the athletic department had put a little bit of money into Stokley to preserve the building's integrity and to update it a bit. Would have been cool to have an arena dedicated specifically to the Lady Vols. I would guess that a post-modernization seating capacity would have likely been between 7,000-10,000 seats, which would make for a lot more Lady Vol sellouts.

I do think the school had floated the idea of somehow preserving Stokely in one way or another a few years back before they planned the demolition, but if I recall correctly they determined that the foundation and the structure needed a lot of work to get it back up to code and restore the dwelling itself for larger capacity crowds. Not to mention all of the interior updates that it needed. Aside from electronics and sound system it would have probably needed new seating, a new court, an overhaul of the concession and concourse area and updated locker rooms.

I think that total cost combined with the lack of parking and accessibility was outweighed by the fact that the school didn't need to be spending money on something that it already had (an arena).

This was within a year or two of Pratt Pavilion being announced, I believe. Took them FOREVER to finally demolish it almost 3 years after they closed its doors in 2012.

Damn, the one freaking time I don't check volnation for a few days I get called out. Whatever, you got me, Ziti and Freak. I admit to stiring stuff up on here with Dallas. Trolling Dal is amusing to me because it literally gets everyone on here fired up, and it's the easiest damn thing to do. I'll see what I can do to get that under control and kick the habit. Nothing against Dal, though. Just a troll at heart, for better or worse.

This can serve as my formal apology. I was at the Butler game w one of the mods this past season and I told him to tell Freak I'd be on my best behavior, so I'll get back to my old ways and stop trying to rile everyone up.

Sucks that the one time I don't check in for a day and a half is when I get found out. I'm usually on here a few times a day or more.

I checked your profile page. You have visited the board since then.

And for the record Indy, I like you mixing it up a little but I had to keep it real.

I have volnation as the home page on my main computer at home. Technically everytime my wife uses the Internet I'm on VN.

I would have responded sooner had I known I had been found out for trolling Dallas. I'm not the type to get found out and take a break from volnat..... Never mind.

EDIT: I should clarify, not my main homepage, one of two saved windows in my safari. I'm not THAT addicted to VN, I swear.

Honestly it's embarrassing for me, but I can't act like the thread wouldn't be pure comedy gold to an outsider. I set it up so well, Dallas had told everyone his plans for the future, everyone started to get riled up as usual, was shaping up to be another classic...

Unfortunately, Ziti and Freak saw right through it and called me out. 0-100 real quick. Before I knew it the freaking creator and boss dawg of the entire site had successfully pulled the hit and run on me and called me out for stirring the pot one too many times, then bounced. Total power move.

I'm now a broken man. In 5-10 ESPN will run a 30 for 30 on this.

"What if I told you that Ziti found you out?"

I don't think we are giving Dallas enough credit.

It's possible that he may have been the one trolling Indy. Slowly baiting him in until the time is right and the tables get turned.

Notice once the pot is fully stirred, Dallas is gone, phantom.

What if this is a real life horror story situation and me and Dallas are actually the same person? Just two seperate personalities... I won't confirm either way.

But yeah, Dallas pulling a ghost is a total hardo move if I've ever seen one.

Looking at 247's timeline, he was committed to A&M up until April. May have a developed a relationship with him during their recruitment.

Bringing in talent was never one of Stansburys problems. But keeping them from fighting each other in the stands, on the other hand...
