Not sure about right out the gate, but I think we'll see a more cohesive defensive group starting next year. Fulk, Williams and Turner/Bone will be good defenders for us, I believe. Kyle getting stronger and being more capable in the post will also help a lot. And if I'm not mistaking our leading charge taker is Schofield this yr. Phillips also keeps getting better each game. Imo

So my thinking is our offensive output shouldn't need to be as great as it is this year because of all our defensive deficiencies. Jmo

Also, if Mostella improves as much defensively from year two to year three as he has from year one to year two, he won't be a liability on that end for sure.

Good call. He's quick. He doesn't have a real good handle in space with any kind of pressure.(or with his vision he'd be a pg) But he's got the quickest first step and lateral on the team. Imo

I'll be in the field until early March (gotta love JRTC). Need someone to cover down on the game threads.

If that's the level coach they'd have to go after I would think they'd be better off just sticking with Pastner another year or two, no? How much does his buyout decrease over the next couple years?

Nah, either of them would be better than Pastner.

Pastner doesn't have a buyout, in the strict sense, Memphis must pay his entire contract. 2.6 mill. per year for the next 4 years.

@AdamSparks: Vandy's Kevin Stallings on players' inconsistency: "You can do what you can to lead them, but you can’t force it on them."

Stallings is such a joke

Lol yeah for real it's called a bench. If they don't listen to you then have them sit there. If that doesn't fix their problems then make them leave the team.

This is a total cop out for Stallings. IMO, any coach worth their weight in water takes for accountability for his team and doesn't throw the responsibility back towards the players. Just like in business, the boss is in charge of their entire staff, and if one staff person is insubordinate then it's the boss's responsibility to be accountable for their department and take appropriate action.
