I think that is where a lot of our fanbase just doesn't really know the ins and outs of the game of baseball yet.

The well heeled fans buying seats and leaving them empty never will. Shame.

I wasn’t there last night, but one of the best writers said Ensley received a standing ovation. So which is it? I think CTV is pissed about the Osuna ruling more than anything.

Very frustrating. Thought some of our BVS football and basketball fans would chill a little after the Natty.

Last year's national championship team lost 9-6 to a 22-34 Lipscomb team on a Tuesday night. It happens.

I rarely ever post but lurk a lot around here. But I feel compelled to mention that I was at the game yesterday in section 214 (behind homeplate on the 2nd level) and virtually everyone around me gave Ensley a standing O for that catch. Just FYI, so sonething ither than this might have gotten CTV miffed.

Same. Wife always seems to come up with something when UT is playing...in any sport. We aren't going to win 'em all, and frankly, I'd prefer we get challenged and take some punches. Gotta be honest.....rolling opponents like we're facing now won't get us ready for the league grind. We need to be tested and get a bloody nose or three.

Yesterday was a lot of fun, and memorable. As dicey as things got when we went behind and when it was 9-9, you looked at the rest of the SEC and a lot of them were in the same boat. It’s all part of baseball. I have a feeling we are gonna see a more focused group today and Xavier is gonna be the one that suffers the consequences.

I wont post the Tweet clip because the Tweet that includes the video has a curse word and last time I did that I got in trouble, but I saw a video from Tony’s interview last night where he seemed kind of upset with our fans. He was a bit terse and annoyed from the tone of his voice about them not giving Hunter a standing O after the catch he made.

Felt a bit odd for Tony, honestly. I think the fan support early in the year with the weather has been pretty good.

I was there last night. The fans gave Hunter a thunderous STANDING ovation after his tremendous catch. He received a loud cheer during his subsequent at bat, but not the FULL standing ovation that he deserved. I think CTV was more upset about the Osuna decision, and how the media covered it than anything else. That’s the saltiest interview he’s given sans the Evansville reporter asking if would be a successful season if TN lost in the Supers. Gotta love his passion!

I was actually sitting there at the stadium last night in the middle of that thinking I should go on VN just for the fun of it because some of them have to be losing their minds. But I still have allegiance to the kids and their parents so I can't do it. I just skipped to the last page of this posting.

I had to say something to a fan last night who crept down to the section beside the parents and started bad mouthing the team, coaches, and particular players. I just said hey, move away from the parents section if you are going to do that. These parents have a lot more investing in this than you ever will. So either support the players and coaches or move.
It was funny because he then wanted to know who mine was and several parents said that's Kirby's dad and he wanted to tell me how much he loved my kid. My reply was simple. Then fall in love with this team and these guys and support them even when they are having a bad day.

Well done. More important to wear the colors after a loss than a win!
