The official Pimp & OE thread

Apparently he wants a gun fight, but trm and os have the cheytac and the driveway is 5 miles of open terrain.

My feelings on the racist history of the US? Or because I feel that the kid was approached and murdered unjustly? Or what I posted in the Fulmer Debate thread? It has been open season on PimpVol lately. People don't like anything I have to say. Guess I am in the minority. Damn.

I would not characterize myself as an angry individual. You would not either if we were friends. This case is emotional as hell for me when that looks amazingly like my kid in a hoodie and it may turn out that you can shoot my kid in the same manner that TM got blown away. Then what? I will be forced to become a criminal because I will not let it not go unpunished. Which is what I fear will happen here in this case (murder going unpunished). Most murder cases are solved in the first couple of days. If not, it is usually because they dont have the ID of their suspect or because he is on the run. But in this case they know who this guy is. He just has not been arrested. In my opinion, the longer he is not hauled in, the more likely he never will be. Just my feelings. I clearly see they are not shared by VN. -- I am not touching the Race Debate anymore either. Done with that. Time to move on. I didn't even know spring ball has started on the Hill.

As a father, I can absolutely understand this. My problem with the whole thing is that we still dont know the facts of the case and convicting the guy before we know these things is very wreckless. If that was my kid and even though he was guilty of attacking this guy, I would still want him punished. I try to take the emotion out of how I look at this case. Another problem I have is the black community wanting to harm this guy even though they are not privy to what actually happened. They are all charged up because the kid was black and the guy who shot him appears white. I can guarantee this wouldnt get this same outrage from the black community if the kid were white....and that to me is a very sad thing.

"The black community most likely would not be concerned if the murder victim was white". I am not looking for an argument here, but isn't that stereotypical at worst, and assuming at best? Are whites actually concerned that a black is dead? Should they be? If so why? Really all black folks know how to do is scream out when things go pear shaped. That is all that seemed to work perusing American history. Do I agree with rioting and looting (and would I do it), **** no. Do I agree with black Activists stirring **** up (and would I do the same); again, no. But do I understand why they do what they do (and why they feel the way they do), why hell yes. I am sure that will be construed as talking out of both sides of my mouth, but this is a complex issue with many different angles in my opinion. I have no problem expressing my feelings and opinions and I enjoy hearing from others (why I joined this site), on current affairs. :twocents:

This is my biggest issue with your arguement. You put race into it. What I see is a young man trying to get home is now dead. I don't care about his race. I don't care about the race of the shooter. I care that a young man is dead.

As for understanding the actions of AS or JJ, I could understand them if this were 50 years ago, but it isn't. Times have changed, methods should change. I understand racism still exists, but it is not as rampant as those two would have people believe. It is offensive to the white community to still push this idea that the majority of us are racist. We're not. That also speaks to a question you had in another thread. "Cracker" is offensive because it suggests you are an ignorant racist. In today's world, that could certainly be argued to be just as durogatory as the "n" word. The actions of AS and JJ are self-serving and devisive. they do nothing to help heal this nation.

Some people want race to be an issue. They want to be able to use it as an excuse as to why they didn't/couldn't accomplish certain things in life.

Your issues with my feelings based on this case are fine with me, however inconsequential they may be. You are entitled to your opinion of me. The person who injected race into this case is Zimmerman though. He racially profiled a kid based on the racist stereotype that a young nig in a hoodie is suspicious, threatenening and a general danger to the community (quite offensive, I might add). Then he approached and killed him (equally offensive). That is as racist as it gets good buddy. Certainly you don't blame me for that do you?????????? - I can't imagine why you would even be concerned with Sharpton on Jackson. What do they mean to you? Why do you even listen to them? They certainly are not what's wrong with the world nor are they charged with fixing what is wrong in the world. They (and their kind) both could easily be made obsolete if the 'world' cared to do so. Interesting viewpoint you have there. - The majority of current whites are not racist in my opinion. Be clear on the fact that I never said that and I don't feel that. I have been lambasted because I said I did not think that black slaves started racism nor did the blacks of the 1900's either. I don't even know how they could have. They didn't originate the 'N' word either. I am sorry you misunderstood. - The 'C' word may very well be offensive. It certainly could be as offensive as any other word. It could be the most offensive word in the world. But I don't know that. What I do know is actions hurt far worse than words. And if you want to talk racist actions in the US....

Some people use anything they can for an excuse. I would guess that a person who did not (or have not yet) accomplish something that they wanted, may want to use an excuse to make themselves feel better about it. Fair assumption, I assume. Now there have been thousands of people unfairly held back from doing things in this country because of race. You are WELL aware of that if your are American or at least know the history of America. Not sure what you meant with your post, except to inject a bit of racism. Good work.
A dude who was told by the law not to pursue a child, shot and killed said child.

Sure looks that way to me.

Wow, when have I expressed an opinion of you? I've certainly disagreed with your arguement, but I don't remember making any personal attacks. Maybe you're confusing me with other posters.

How do you know Zim's decisions were made on race? Where's the proof to back that up? He's had black friends come forward and say he isn't a racist. Does that put any doubt in your mind as to his motives?

I care about what Sharpton and Jackson say and do because they have followers. They are in positions of power in the black community and instead of using that power to bring this nation together, they use it to justify keeping it apart. And they are a part of what's wrong with this world. They could go a long way toward healing racial tensions in this country, but they choose not to. The "world" cannot make them obsolete as long as they have blind sheep willing to follow them.

Racism existed before slavery in America. Goes a lot further back in time and touches more than just black people.

Saying actions hurt far worse than words and then calling TRM's words actions? They're words. TRM did not commit an action toward you. He said something you found offensive.

Second bolded part, that was then, and it was wrong, but this is now. The sins of the past are done and gone. Today's world is different. Please stop using the past as a justification. You are aware we have a black president now, right?

BTW, nice to see you're not sure what TRM meant, but it was racist. Really? If you're not sure what he meant, then how do you know if his intent was racist?

Finally, the crux of my arguement. You agree with what Pooch said. Please notice, Pooch made no reference to race in his statement. It's what I've said all along if you've read any of my posts actually concerning the case. Zim instigated the situation by getting out of his car and starting a foot pursuit. His actions led to the eventual outcome, a dead young man.

I've never once said I thought Zim was innocent. I don't know if he acted out of profiling or racism, nor do I care. What I do care about is his actions led to a young man being killed by his hand. If he had stayed in his car, TM would probably be alive and well today. That, in and of itself, should warrant some kind of charge.

You need to relax a little. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean they're attacking you as a person. If you're so certain you're right, you overlook the possibility you could be wrong.
