The saddest part of this hire for me is that ARKANSAS has managed to hire considerably bigger names for their last two coaches than UT. Why? Arkansas gets Petrino / Tennessee gets Dooley...Arkansas gets Bielema / Tennessee gets Jones. Either Tennessee, for some reason, is less attractive to potential coaches than Arkansas, who faces LSU and Alabama...OR, the hiring efforts of UT have been deficient. For clarity, I'm not suggesting Bielema is a home run hire, but he is undeniably more highly regarded than Jones. From my perspective, it appears as though Arkansas' AD has simply been more determined. Why?

I don't think fans will blame Jones if he doesn't work out. He certainly won't be hated. He took his dream job. Good for him. We know he'll do his best, and if he doesn't he'll be shown the door. I'm on board. Just wish like hell I would have been blown away by a our new hire.

There are a lot of folks hate Dooley and he took over a much worse situation. There is a portion of our fanbase whose stupidity is beyond description.:hi:................Oh by the way guys, I been missin you shmucks. Hardly able to get on since tuesday.:salute:

There are idiots in ever fan base. That is not exclusively a UT thing. Just got done watching the replay of the PC. I liked it. He seems like a good guy that the players will buy in to. Liked all his talk about it being family and stuff. I know it doesn't necessarily translate to wins, but it is still good to hear. I am sticking by my thoughts on him probably not being the antidote to Saban.

I wish this thread were hoppin' like back in the good old days of the Gruden thread.

Hey Rockefeller, :hi:I don't know if you are familiar with the Night Shift crew, but I would like to welcome you :hi: we are all freinds in this particular thread, and if you want to get an idea of how things go in here I recommend you to go back and read several pages. Please don't start any heated arguements (disagreeing is fine) and please bring a sense of humor.
