Do you beisbol? Does small sample size mean anything to you? Ever heard of regression to the mean?

Modern analytics are amazing. I would start at fangraphs.com

Stats are 2024 YTD vs 2025 YTD
And no, I have never heard of regression to the mean.

Been an Astros fan since around ‘81 when I relocated down to the Houston area. Really didn’t know the intricacies until I started coaching my twins 2006 or so. Learnt a lot from the other coaches and the kids themselves.

Really dove into the Astros rebuild… I thought Luhnow was nuts, but he had a plan. I remember that Sports Illustrated cover from 2014 fondly. As an Astros fan it was all about the farm and MiLB.
