The Official New York Knicks Thread.

I wish Dolan would drop dead. And J.R. Smith would spontaneously combust. And "World Peace" would die in a civil war. And Melo would lose a year of life for every time he shoots instead of passing for a wide open dunk.

Melo will pick up his player option but I probably try to trade him or let him walk after that.

JMO.

Melo forces bad shot. Melo plays lazy, terrible transition D. Stephenson and-1 layup. Yep, Knicks.

Knicks went from a top contender a year ago to the joke of the league today. What happened? No Brewer, Chandler, Kidd, or Novak. I got laughed at for saying those guys were the big contributors to their success last year, but maybe now people are agreeing with me?

Kidd, Brewer and Novak had no pressure. Chandler... I don't know. He's either done or will make a great resurgence. I don't think there is middle ground for him. He's either good enough to be the defensive/rebounding force you need or it's out in round one. If he plays the way he did for the Mavs, contenders. If not...

I'm in between writing off the Knicks, Nets and Bulls. As in, it could go either way. If the Knicks add back a center who was former DPOY? If the Nets finally get things clicking? If the Bulls hang on long enough for Rose to return?

Without those things, those teams suck. I still think they have potential to turn it around though. For instance, I know how good the Pacers and think they're one of the best. Still, it's only 1/4 into the season and best record is far from determined. And injuries change everything. Certain players returning in the playoffs also change everything.

Speaking of players returning... Danny Granger might play against the Bobcats tomorrow night. If he can be half of what he was when he was one of the best scorers in the league, he'd be a great addition to the bench. Additionally, he thought he could have played against the Heat but since he hasn't played all season, he didn't feel it was fair to take away from what the players did in his absence. Summing up his words, he wasn't there to earn this record and he doesn't feel it's fair to take someone else's spot who helped earn the record. I'm convinced he's happy being a team player and is willing to do what it takes to win a championship as opposed to earning the largest contract possible(he's a free agent at the end of the year).

But yeah... Chandler could impact the Knicks a lot depending on how he returns. They suck now but if he can be a defensive force/rebound, it can be a season changer for a team like the Knicks. We already know who is getting the ball... iso-Melo.

Bulls should be OK if they get healthy aside from D Rose, IMO. If they just have average play at PG they could be the #3 seed.

Nets don't have enough D or rebounding (because Evans gets 14 MPG), and their scoring isn't enough to compensate.

The Knicks can't score, and without Chandler they can't reboud or defend. With him they are probably an average team.

Too much Melo, not enough supporting cast.

Brewer, Novak, and Kidd are minimal. They don't matter.

Chandler has been the doozy. Plus having Bargani really hurts. And Ray Felton has taken a step back.
