The Official New York Knicks Thread.

I feel like the championship move for the Knicks is Jarrett Allen. He's a better version of Hartenstein. He's a better defender and can play the same role on offense, critically in the short roll.

They can package Randle + Achiuwa + picks. Randle makes sense on the Cavs. Cavs want to get Allen out of Mobley's way.
Having Randle as a secondary playmaker who can get a bucket is just as important as replacing IHart’s short roll stuff IMO, the playoff version of the team where Brunson is the entire offense was not beating a team like Boston. Bridges probably helps with that though

But I think that's what Bridges is for. Bridges is not enough if you lose Hartenstein and Randle, but he is if you have Allen.

Right now, center is a much bigger problem than play-making, and Allen would completely solve that problem and salvage some of the lost play-making from Randle, who has never been that reliable.

Also, not sure anybody is beating Boston. I'd just playing for the 1 seed knowing Boston is the best team, and then if somebody on Boston gets hurt, it's all you. If Robinson is your best center, you're really susceptible to losing to teams not named the Celtics.

Bridges does make me more okay with losing Randle, but I’m still hopeful that the Knicks can get another center between now and the deadline without trading Randle. Thibs does pretty well with centers and Randle played pretty well with this version of the team post-OG trade; the Knicks in January looked like the real deal IMO.

Robinson also abused Allen in the playoffs before, I obviously would love to have both though

Yeah, I've long been a fan of Robinson but he's a 20 mpg guy and gets played off the court in a lot of matchups.

2 years?!?! Bum played 1 time in 2 10 day contracts lol.

Seems like it's really a contract for the next couple months with a team option for next year, which is probably fine with me

The guy writing the headline doesn't understand the NBA enough to know the headline should just be Tucker to Sign Full-time Contract with Knicks

The New York Knicks, who can clinch their first-round series against the Detroit Pistons at home on Tuesday, have lost all four of their series-clinching opportunities at home since 2000.

Pistons win close or Knicks blow them out. I see no in-between.
