Thought I'd get it started early.

Shame on all of you for an incredible lack of conversation on what has to be one of the most entertaining playoffs of all time.

Lakers in five.

You all ride the jock of Kobe WEAK
Dude they beat the effing Spurs in five. I HATE the Lakers, and after last night, I'm ready to call Kobe ARGUABLY the greatest offensive basketball player of all time. If he leads this team to a couple of titles, you may even be able to throw his name in with MJ's. Yeah, I said it. So far he's done a pretty good job taking a team with little prior success through the deepest Western Conference ever.

The Lakers are on it right now, while the Pistons look pretty lackadaisical at times, and all of the Celtics are still somewhat of an unknown quantity in the playoffs. I can't see Boston or Detroit taking LA past six games, and as long as the Lakers don't come out flat after a long break, I'd say they could be either in five.

the depth of the WC might have been stout, but there is no greatness. The best team in the conference isn't bothered by the depth, so them waltzing through isn't impressive. I'll be impressed when they beat a great team. SA didn't have it with half ginobli and Duncan's D falling off.

Kobe, however, is certainly clawing his way toward Jordan.

The craziest thing I've ever read on VN.

tell me which team that they beat is a historically good team. Last season's spurs would have beaten this season's by an average of 20.

I can't help that you understand little, but the large number of teams has diluted the true studs across the league, so very few teams are great from a historical perspective. The 80s Celts, Lakers, Pistons and early 80s sixers would destroy these teams.

Moreover, those teams didn't look at getting to the finals as big news. They were the best in their conference and should have beaten everyone else in 7 game series and they did. No big deal.

If you need further interpretation, let me know and I'll promptly ignore you.

Answer this Stunna

1.Did Denver finish in the top 5 of the Western Conference?
2.Did Cleveland miss the playoffs?
3.Did NJ make the playoffs?

Brilliant Stunna, just brilliant

1. I'm pretty sure the Nuggets still won 50 games and made the playoffs this year. Finishing a couple of spots behind where I had predicted before the season even started doesn't affect me one iota.

2. Had Cleveland not made a significant trade in February, the Cavaliers could have easily put themselves in postseason danger.

3. The Nets aged much faster than I thought they would back in November. Besides, picking the latter half of the Eastern Conference playoff teams is often a crapshoot. Then again, I'm not the one who had the Bucks making a post season appearance, either. Your Chicago and Boston projections were even more comical.

Lastly, why are you still writing checks your worthless backside can't cash? Hard as it may seem, I just might find an ounce of respect for T-Rev if he could only start following his word. Believe me, planet Earth becomes a much nastier place when you're a coward, Trevor.
