The Official NASCAR Talk Thread

once again, I fouled. Swapped JJ for Kenseth and Logano for Edwards about 5 minutes before the deadline. When will I learn?

UPDATE: Team owner Kyle Busch suddenly seems fairly confident he can field Camping World Truck Series teams next year for two of NASCAR's most promising youngsters. Both of them - Darrell Wallace Jr. and Erik Jones - have won Truck Series races in Kyle Busch Motorsports-prepared Toyotas in recent weeks."From a sponsorship prospective, you hope it would be very rewarding (because) it shows that our team is capable of running up front. We're capable of winning with younger drivers, younger talent, not just Cup guys like me or Denny (Hamlin). It proves our capabilities and what KBM is all about. We've understood and now recognize that the Truck Series is a capable playground where we can be competitive. We feel we have a good handle on the Truck Series, so that's where we'll put our focus." Busch then outlined what he expects to happen next year. He sounded far more optimistic than several weeks ago, when he and team general manager Rick Ren said they weren't sure of their 2014 plans. "We're really looking forward to bringing Darrell back," Busch said of 2014. "It's not final, but we're close and looking to have two trucks. We'll focus on that effort and making sure we have the best trucks in the business and try to funnel some young drivers through and on to (technical partner) Joe Gibbs Racing."Next year, the plan is the same with Erik. My idea, in the grand scheme of things, in a perfect world, would be for me to run 10-12 Truck Series races in the number 51 and Erik fill in the other 10-12 at mile-and-under tracks where he can run and however the schedule works out. And we'll have Darrell back full time in the number 54 truck."(AutoWeek)(11-11-2013)

Austin Dillon could become the first ever driver to win a championship without a win Saturday. As for the truck race tonight all Crafton has to do is start.
