I honestly hope Kurt stays put, though I doubt he will. For years until his brother came along, Kurt was my least favorite driver on the circuit. Starting last year though, he seems to have mellowed out, and especially this season I've found myself pulling for him and his single car team to secure a spot in the chase.

If that is legit there is no way I'd stay at FRR. That team would be stacked with Smoke, Harvick, and Kurt.

Wow! A big FU to Newman. But that is going to be a super team.

If I was Hendrick I would be concerned.

Agreed, that team would have so much pure driving talent it would be scary. Wonder if they have a sponsor lined up or would Gene Haas fund that ride out of pocket to just help grab Kurt?

Its not all bad for Ryan though, he is bound to get a ride at either RCR, EGR, or FRR.

No idea on the sponsorship. I would just hate to see Hendrick getting beat with his own motors by three different drivers.

SHR statement on the report:

Stewart-Haas statement on @CandiceSpencer report that team has made formal offer to Kurt Busch for 2014: "Stewart-Haas Racing constantly strives to improve itself, and expansion is something that is often discussed. If the right opportunity presents itself, it's something the team will certainly consider."

So not really a denial...

Kurt would win multiple races in the 10 car, probably be the flagship for SHR to be honest.

Still think Tony is the best pure racer of the bunch.

It will be interesting to see if they have the man/womanpower to do that.

That probably won't happen for another few years I'm guessing. Though I did hear some rumors they built some of their own bodies this year.

Is 4 the realistic limit of what team size? Is it a NASCAR rule, or just logistics?

Yeah Cup teams are limited to 4 full-time cars but can field a 5th for a rookie driver for a limited amount of races. In NNS and CWTS there is no limit. They did the rule awhile back because Roush had like 5 or 6 cars one year I think.

Thanks for the answer.

Hmm.

I think RCR has to be a bit nervous. I don't know if cowboy hat is ready for the top level, and they haven't won a championship since 1994!, and they have had one of the great talents in Kevin Harvick(I think he is a great talent, his win at atlanta in 2001 is very high up in my memory).

"Rumor has it is that Kurt has Monster Energy willing to give him some Sprint Cup money and co-owner Gene Haas is willing to put Haas Automation on any open races."
