The Official NASCAR Talk Thread

Bristol suxed. Any time a crew chief tells a driver “you need to get 55 laps instead of 45 laps so we have enough tires to finish the race” (on a half mile track) it sux bigtime. Not to mention cars catching on fire and falling out of the race due to rubber buildup.

I bet if someone had told Hamlin the points situation, he would not have passed Chastain. I think he has pretty much said you don't want the Penske cars to get to Phoenix.

Denny wants this championship so badly. I think he’s ready to retire but won’t until he accomplishes it.

It’s looking better for his odds at phoenix if Logano or Blaney can’t win one of these next two races. He also has an advantage of not focusing on these next two races and putting all of his resources into Phoenix.

Hamlin is the only one that doesn't have to worry about the craziness that is Talladega.

I will be there in my Moss Thornton Tower seats. It will be my 7th fall race in a row.
Hoping the forecast changes, the current precipitation percentage for Sunday is a bit high for my liking. I want to see 100% of the scheduled laps on Sunday.
