The Official NASCAR Talk Thread

Not certain I did enough to avoid elimination this weekend. A lot of people did pick Jimmie though.

What legit sport allows a team to play for a championship who didn't win a single event?

none:eek:hmy: Dominate the whole year and have 1 bad finish and you are done, just don't seem fair to the Driver's that ran good all year and then in the end don't even have a chance to compete for the championship.

Looks like an old DEI paint scheme with the lines running down the side!

Still hoping they somehow work a deal with Petty for the #9 before Daytona!

But your right about something not looking right his Xfinity and the limited Cup scheme have been better! IMO

I don't circle many races these days as can't miss, but this is one of them. Not really a prediction, but I wouldn't be surprised if the 24 lays back to start, and is pushed by the 48 at the end.

Can't lay back.. you have to stay up front! If you lay back, you'll get stuck at the end.

I think with the 24 on the pole, he'll stay up front as long as he can, but if he gets shuffled, then yes, I'd expect him to ride in the back for a while.

I know that a lot of people don't like Talladega, but it is a good elimination track in the new chase format. It makes for some exciting desperate finishes.
