The whole thing has devolved into about a quarter step up from pro wrestling in terms of competitive integrity. There's a guy out there running for the title that missed 1/2 of the pre-Chase races.

Martin Truex has re-signed with FRR and a presser is scheduled tomorrow to also announce the move to Toyota. They will also enter a technical alliance with JGR and receive chassis and motors from them.

Why does it matter? He didn't run nearly half the qualifying races. What legit sport would allow a team to forfeit half the season and then play for a title under any circumstances? Anyway, hopefully he'll be out of the running after this weekend.
