The Official NASCAR Talk Thread

I know the end of season schedule is largely set with the weather in mind, but one of the biggest things they need to address is ending the season at Homestead. It's a terrible track to race at when they hope to have a lot of people watching as they settle the Championship.

Homestead blows. It sucked on the old configuration and it sucks now.

If it were up to me, I'd end the season in Vegas.

Start and end the season in Daytona? :)

All jokes aside, Atlanta is my favorite intermediate track. It would have been a perfect place for the last race of the season.

Good for Newman for going all out on that final lap, but claiming that Gordon choked is going full retard.

Gordon didn't choke. He didn't advance because others did what they were supposed to do. Gordon didn't have the car to beat Harvick. Harvick's car was on another level from the rest of the field.

Harvick has been awesome all season. A few bad breaks is what has set him back but he and Gordon have been the class of the field all season. As long as Harvick brings the same effort he has all season, he'll win his first championship.
