They are also adding banking and narrowing the track. Sometimes I wonder why NASCAR and their associates can’t leave well enough alone.

I’m gonna miss the old Atlanta. It’s by far the best of the 1.5 mile intermediate configurations. Loved the multilane racing and racing surface. It was a drivers track.

A look at the crowd at tonight's SRX Race at the Fairgrounds.

When they said "biggest crowd since the 1970s", I'm thinking that has to be for a non-NASCAR affiliated event. The Busch races I went to there in late 90s they had extra bleachers on either end of the grandstands filled.

The SRX series, I'm not a fan of the "green flag limit" or whatever it's called.

Agreed. Especially if they go back racing tomorrow, let them get those out tonight and work on them and have them ready to go tomorrow. I get stuff happens but that just seemed boneheaded.

Not a usual weekend so no backup cars on site which is a shame. If it was, there would be a lot of pressure on O’Donnell and Phelps to allow Kyle and Truex to use backup cars.
