Surprising to see JPM out of the 42. I know he hasn't been great in the car but still a little surprised. I am not sure Indy would be an option for him. There isn't a lot of money in the sport right now to pay "top drivers". I am sure JPM would ask for top dollar because of his past success in the series even though it's been years. If Kurt ends up taking that ride maybe JPM will take the 78 car. :dunno:

ESPN is good at telling us what we already know when it comes to NASCAR. Other than Marty Smith, their reporting sucks.

One thing I have noticed too is ESPN always seems to sneak her in the Nascar stuff one way or another. She is always one of the drivers they show were they finished even if it was dead last. They seem to continue to push her in the spot light even though she doesn't deserve it. I am tired of hearing about her.

Why do you think IndyCar fans didn't shed a tear when she left?

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. I have been to races at Indy and Barber, and very few of the people there seemed to watch the series on a regular basis.

Outside of a minor league game, I've never been to a sporting event where the fans were so disinterested about the sport as a whole.

((Amie'sPOV))

"GENTLEMEN START YOUR ENGINES"

As the engines started and the sound filled pit road, we were ready to get this race started. Jimmie was starting 17th and Denny was starting 19th. There wasn't much standing in Jimmie's way – all he needed to do was avoid cautions and win the race.

((Green Flag))

The start of the race and Jimmie started making his move up the field. I watched the girls giggled as the loud sounds filled around us. Chad just looking at the screen keeping an eye on the speeds and times for Jimmie.

((Caution)) – Lap 35

Travis Kvapil cuts a tire causing him and Joey Logano to spin out. Pit road is open.

"Four fresh tires and gas." Chad announced in the headset.
"I am a little lose" Jimmie announced
"Alright, we will do round on the track bar." Chad announced

As Jimmie came down pit road, the girls watched everything that was taken place. Penelope just looked in shock about how fast they were doing it. Jimmie sped off on to the track.

((Green Flag – Lap 40))

Jimmie was starting tenth once the green flag hit the race track. Things were going good and the race was staying green until lap 150.

((Caution – Lap 151))

Major accident causing five cars in a multicar accident. Denny Hamlin, Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth, Greg Biffle and AJ Allmendinger to wreck. Kurt Busch had a tire blow and hit Denny Hamlin.

"DAMNIT!" Denny shouted. All I could do was giggle and I watched Jordan just flip out.
"What's so funny?" Chad asked
"Look at Jordan!" I laughed
"AMIE! GET OFF MY ****ING CHANNEL!" Denny shouted
"OH go **** yourself." I laughed as I switched back to Jimmie's channel.
"Denny can actually hear you?" JJ asked
"Yes." I laughed
"Oh sis, you are evil." Chad laughed as he watched Jimmie come down pit road to get the service on his car.

"Hey Mike, you there?" I asked on the intercom. Our spotter hadn't said anything in a few laps and was starting to get worried.
"Hey Amiz, we have a problem here." Jason Hedlesky
"Jason?" I asked
"Yes, Mike is down – we have a medic here. It doesn't look good here." Jason answered
"What is wrong?" Chad asked
"He clutched his chest and went down." Jason replied
"DAMNIT!" Chad shouted throwing his hands up.
