The Official NASCAR Talk Thread

So let's take stock. Five cars destroyed, one of which the team doesn't even have a backup car. No element of skill or competitive integrity, cars playing chicken with one another on pit row. I'm sure NASCAR will call it an overwhelming success. They should have just pulled numbers out of a hat.

Life isn't fair. Why should NASCAR be?

Not a conspiracy theorist but since 2013 it's obvious who each Daytona 500 pole winner was going to be.

On another note, they just showed an add for JP's NASCAR Outlet in Crossville. If you're ever passing through the area, be sure to make a stop in there. As an added bonus, there's a winery next door.

I have but for the biggest race of the year there is no point in potentially wrecking cars in qualifying that only sets the front when you have the duels later in the week.

The bigger the race, the bigger the risk, the bigger the reward.

Race your way in on time today and you don't even have to worry about Thursday.

There's nothing rewarding from today. There isn't a race today. And now someone is likely out of the race because of this stupid format

I don't recall anybody being forced onto the track today. But if you want to make the race (the reward) you had to go onto the track today (the risk). It's not a very hard concept to understand.
