The Official make fun of the Cleveland Browns Thread

Apparently Haslam just promoted Sashi Brown from chief counsel to General Manager. That's right, a guy with zero scouting or personnel experience will now control the Browns draft, free agency, and 53 man roster. Dear God what an awful franchise.

Just think what UT could do with all the money this guy wasted on that sorry franchise

The Browns just hired Paul DePodesta from the Mets, you know the New York Mets. So two days after promoting a guy with no personnel experience to run the football operations, now they hire a guy with no football experience to be Chief Strategy Officer. What a mess of a franchise.

Its too bad Hue Jackson ended up in Cleveland. He's a good coach.

Yes, he is. Now they need to do what he asks of them. Then get out of the way and let him do it. If he tells them he needs somebody in the draft - draft him. Quit screwing around with the has beens and wannabes.

Johnny Football is history in Cleveland.

FYP.

I'm sure some team will sign him to be a backup but any glorious NFL career anyone may have thought he was going to have is completely over. Knowing him he'll probably screw up any backup role he gets and will be completely gone from the NFL in 2 years.

As a position coach, yes. As a HC, I'm not sold on him yet. One year doesnt prove anything and the fact he never got another HC job until now throws up a yellow flag. Problem is that he's at Clev which there's a very slim chance he'll be able to do anything to that football cesspool. Worse part is he'll go sub .500 and get canned then it will tarnish his rep as a future HC.

He went 8-8 in Oakland with Jason Campbell as his QB. He should have gotten more than one year, but it's not like Oakland is a great franchise either.

I wouldn't hold his time in Oakland against him, the Raiders go through coaches like chewing gum. He went 8-8 and went into the final weekend with a chance to make the playoffs. Which is funny because that's about as good as anyone has done there since 2002.

I hate the title of this thread - "Nobody Cares About The Browns"

Of course I personally don't care...

but shirtless fans in the freezing cold eating dogfood from a can do deserve some joy from their team...

Today is apparently the 20th anniversary of the NFL giving Art Modell the final approval to move the original Browns franchise to Baltimore.

Oh, and Johnny Manziel was released today.

So it took the Browns two years to figure out what everyone else already knew? Good job, Browns.

It just seems like it. They've been busy implementing Haslam's strategy that he brought over from Pilot that is known as "rip off the public."
