The "official" Lost thread

I'm wondering what Ben meant when he said he made a promise to someone. Immediately I thought of him talking about Whidmore and how he told him he'd kill his daughter. I'm hoping that's not the case but he was near boats when he called Jack.

Payed particular attention to the previews for next week.
It's supposed to be all about the John Locke missing pieces between the last episode and his death and the tie ins with what we have seen so far this year.
"Your questions will be answered".I have forgotten how many times that has turned into a half truth on this show!

This is what I think happened.

I need help. How did Hugo get out of jail? How did Syaid (sp?) know to be on the plane? Why was Ben all beat up when he got on the plane? Why was Frank flying the plane? I guess I'll just wait and see.

Ben got Hugo out of jail. Ben told Jack Hugo would be taken care of to get back to the Island. Remember, Eloise Hawking said that it had to be as close to the original plane crash as possible. Had to have the shoes from Christian on Locke who was in a casket like the original crash. Jin's wedding ring. A Marshall holding a prisoner(Sayid). The only thing that was missing was Aaron, but he wasn't born when the 815 crashed and Claire wasn't on the plane anyways.

I think Sayid could have possibly turned himself in, freeing Hugo. That could explain why Sayid was being transported as a prisoner.

Thoughts on last night..
1. The plane didn't crash, at least it didn't crash yet. The Oceanic 6 and who ever was supposed to be one flight 815 have been transported to Dharma times. On episode 4 we see people shooting at Sawyer and the crew, I think that those people are the people from the Ajira Airways plane that weren't supposed to be transported.

2. Desmond wasn't supposed to go on the plane anyways because he never did. I'm guessing that Desmond goes on his boat back to the island, that is if Ben killed Penny.

3.Dharma Time Ladies !!!!!!!

Hurley is Charlie's substitute
Ben is Hurley's (and maybe also Sawyer's) substitute
Kate is Claire's substitute
Sayid is Kate's substitute
John is Christian's substitute
Frank Lapidus is Seth Norris' substitute (which is funny, because Seth Norris was Frank's substitute on the last flight)

I take it Charlie has visited Hurley?

I suspect Kate gave custody of Aaron to his grandmother.

The shoes.... Christian white Locke black, sounds like something symbolic that will lead these two "undead" into some battle over the island..
cant wait till next week...

I love this show!!!! I guess out of all that, the only thing I can't wrap my head around is why would a Marshall have Sayid on a plane headed to Guam for crimes committed in LA? Funny, out of all the stuff that happens on this show, it's the little details that I expect to make sense.

I just read an interesting theory. Kate could be pregnant which would make Claire's part be there on the plane too.

I'm hoping Desmond was able to stop Ben from killing Penny since their relationship is the only real source of happiness on the show now, which probably means it won't last and Penny's dead. Why else would Desmond want to go back to the island other than revenge on Ben? He also would have to get there by boat, not by plane with the others, since that's how he arrived the first time.

I believe he killed Penny because remember what Eloise Hawking told him, "The Island isn't finished with you yet."

Therefore, something had to happen so that the Island could get him back.

This show is getting better and better. I was a little dissapointed we didn't get to see any good island action last night, but it was still a great episode.

As far as Penny goes, I think she's as good as dead. Desmond will hunt down the island looking for Ben. We could possibly see him become more a villian type teaming up with Widmore.

I love the show, but I'm a little worried about the direction they might be taking it.

I'd be dissapointed if it ends up being some big paradox where the Losties are stuck in the past and somehow cause all of the events we've seen thus far.

The deal with Locke telling Alpert the year he was born and to go visit him. And it sure sounded like Hurley's voice repeating the number's on the frenchman's radio when they washed ashore. And now Jin possibly working for Dharma?

I know there's still a lot to go in this season and next, but I hope I'm wrong.

That seems like the direction the show is going.
