The "official" Lost thread

This needs to be said. Lost < 24.

I just don't get how you can be lost for five years..?

this makes no sense. 24 takes place over the span of months so you must realize it's not in real time right? Same thing goes for Lost, it's a tv show.

But then again Jack Bauer would have just hacked into the CIA mainframe with a coconut and pointed a top secret Chinese satellite at his position on the island. I can see how that's much better

(for the record: I like both shows)

and am I the only one who was a bit let down by the premiere? There were some great parts but I just felt it needed more. Maybe it was just the anticipation and all but...

I think the first hour was amazing and the best season opener since the pilot. The second hour was slower but you have to remember that the writers had to take a lot of setup time for the remainder of the season. I think now that a few of the central themes are in place it will get even better.

Any show that features someone throwing a Hot Pocket as a weapon at the "villain" is top notch in my book!

His reaction was great.

Hurley being in custody sure sets up an interesting plot considering Ben and Locke have to get everybody back on the island "or god help them all".

Ready for Round 2 tonight? Or round 3 if you count the fact that we had two episodes back to back last week.

Less questions. More Answers would be nice.

I wonder, looking ahead, if by the last episode this year.
If that will be the case. Not just on T.V.But on this show
its self.:eek:hmy:

Its impossible to say for sure, but I think Ben and Whitmore will both prove to both be villians with their own agendas.

at the possibilty of being flamed heavily, i'm going to go out on a limb and say lost isn't as good as it used to be. the first episode of this season was good, and the second one was decent, but tonights was kind of a letdown. i'm just not crazy about the direction it's going in. it's still a decent show, but not as good as the earlier seasons IMO. they're trying to put too much crap into it.

Tonight's show was great.

In the recap last week before either of the new episodes, Cuse and Lindelof said that the show will start answering more questions than it asks.

Hopefully it will really get going once the Oceanic 6 return. I was surprised to see Charles Whitmore was a young guy on the island. I wonder what he has planned for Desmond once he gets to LA? What a coincidence, he has to go to LA to find Daniel's mother, just so happens to be where Jack, Hurley and the other people are at. I guess that will get everyone together and then they can go back.

I'm not so sure anyone can claim they know the direction this show is going.
I know they said "This season you will begin to get more answers than questions".Once that starts to unfold better, maybe the direction will become more apparent.

Last night's episode was incredible. What questions did they ask last night that haven't already been presented? Seemed they answered alot of them.

Are Daniel and Penny brother and sister? Why did Whidmore and Hawkins leave the island? Was Locke somehow involved in the purge?

yeah, if anything the last episode raised more questions than it answered. i don't see how it answered anything really.

I guess you know the answer to the ? about Daniel :)

As far as answers. We know why Richard was there to see Locke when he was born/little. We also saw why Whitmore has a connection to the island. There will be more answers throughout the season.
