The "official" Lost thread

Locke being in the coffin sucks. Ok, so now we know the island has been moved and it looks like everyone will be getting together to go back to the island. Is it just me or does it seem like it is getting harder and harder to tell the good from the bad on this show?

Awesome finale last night. Just because Locke is dead on the mainland doesn't mean he is dead on the island. Christian Shepherd appearing before Michael before the ship exploded literally blew my mind. I can't wait for Season 5!!!

LOST started off as a decent show, but then became completely retarded. now it's just plain stupid

What I think is stupid is that you are so obsessed with Jessica Alba that you probably actually think she is your g/f when in reality she's not. That's just completely retarded. Why don't you go meet a real girl instead of making up one in your head?

SHepherd was just an hallucination. Michael did what he was supposed to do so he could finally die.

I don't know about hallucination, but the island was finished with him and he could now "go". Remember he tried committing suicide but the gun wouldn't work because the island wasn't done with him yet.

Yea. Definately not a hallucination. Apparition or something, absolutely.

I'm wondering what the deal is with Christian Sheppard. Not just why is he appearing on the island, but why does he seem to hold some kind of special significance.

Good finale. I guess we can look forward to Jack(with Ben's help) rounding up everyone for a return trip. Plus find out what's going on with the island. Hopefully Alpert can shed some light on this.

Sayid and Hurley- I can see them willingly going back without putting up the any fight.
Sun- probably take a little convincing. She'll probably convince herself(with someone's help) that Jin is still alive.
Kate and Aaron- no way will Kate want to go back. Especially after her Claire dream. It will take something significant.

That's what i mean. Like a ghost. Everyone also hears the whispering before they die, as well as seeing someone.

sun will probably take more than a LITTLE convincing. jack ticked her off when he said they shouldn't go back for jin. and after seeing her talk to whitmore last night, it makes me think if she is gonna be an obstacle for the oceanic six.

It seems as if she wants to work with Widmore now which is ironic since her husband died on his freighter. Also, I thought Terry O'Quinns performance last night should earn him an Emmy.

I don't know. I'm still processing the show in my mind. Would like to watch it again.

What was the last thing Sun said to Widmore? "You and I have common interests. If you'd like to discuss these here's my card." Or something near identical to that. What could those possible interests be? What's been Widmore's focus for all of season 4? To find the island and find Ben. I can't think of any other inerests it may be.(and of course I realize they could throw out something completely diff from this for season 5)

Either way I think she'll end up wanting to go back for her own reasons. Once she gets the thought that Jin may be alive, it's over.

She probably thinks for some reason that Jin is still alive. And since she knows Widmore wants to get to the island, they could team up in finding it.

REALLY makes me wonder what happened with Locke for the island to not need him anymore.

My best guess is not that he died on the island, but he possibly had to move it again which forces him to leave. Once he is off the island, he kills himself because he can't get back or somebody else kills him.

the thing that sucked about having locke in the coffin was that near the end of the episode he had alot of things going for him. ben told him to be the leader of the others while he was away and he seemed to finally be serving his purpose like he wanted to do. and then the next scene comes on and you see him in a coffin. i dunno. it just bothered me.

I read a theory that said Jeremy Bentham was a philosopher from a while back that was into something like human taxodermy or dolls of people and that might be what the "Coffin Locke" was. Just a doll, since you know his name was Jeremy Bentham and all...just a theory though.

He left the island and visited at least some of the Oceanic 6 trying to convince them to return. Jack and Kate for sure. I can't remember who else. I want to say I heard Sun's name as well. I need to go back and rewatch it. I believe that happened about a month before Jack and Kate met at the airport.

It was listed as suicide, but Sayid and I think Jack as well had their doubts about that being what really happened.

Did anyone see the commercial for Octagon something? It had an www. address and I'm sure it was related to the show. I can't remember what the address was though.

octagonglobalrecruiting.com

It was an advertisement for something they will be doing at comicon in San Diego.
