He was actually in Ben's group when Locke was told by Ben to kill his father.

Yeah I remember that now, but he seems to be a more important part of the darma inititive in the "flashes", and I'm confused about another thing, when wacko mercenary dude opens up the second protocol it had darma insignia. What part does Penny's father play in the initiative. I got the impression that there was the darma group and there was Penny's dad and his organization , or was he a part of Darma originally.....I guess I'm just "Lost".

i just thought the group that found kate and sayid were "the others" that ben told to go into hiding at the end of last season. not much is known about richard alpert's character though(the guy who interviewed locke as a child). i've always got the impression though that he is underneath ben, but still high up on the ladder of the others. almost like a second in command type thing.

also, i could be wrong, but wasn't alpert one of the doctors that met with juliet before she came to island?:dunno:

Yes, I believe he was. Has the bald headed African American ever been seen other than in "flashes"? I don't remember seeing him on the island.

That's been known for quite a while now. Can't remember if it was season 2 or 3 when we found out Christian Sheppard was Claire's father.

Alpert wasn't affiliated with the Dharma Initiative. He was one of the "hostiles" the DI spoke of. The islands original inhabitants.

I don't know if Alpert was the leader(I don't think that's ever been claimed), but I think Ben was "chosen" to be the leader.

It's not picking up in the fall. Towards the end of last season (I think around April/May last year) they announced that seasons 4, 5, and 6 will be shorter 16 episode seasons. Season 5 will start the same time as season 4 did. End of Jan/first week of Feb 2009 and run through the end of May. After the 2nd part of the season finale we get no Lost for 8 months.

Is this just me or has anyone noticed that they show Alpert being the same age throughout the show and flashbacks. When he visited Locke as a boy he seemed to me to be the same age as he is now.

They're supposed to have some extra footage in the reply of last week's episodes (questions from the press conf.) Then we get 2 hrs of Lost goodness.

I hope so. I work nights so I have to watch Friday afternoon online.

it was a good finale. but i was really hoping that.......SPOILERS..................................




















Locke wouldn't be the one in the coffin. That sucked.
