When Sayid went to a veterinary office? after being shot and all we could hear was the vets voice I thought it was going to be Jacks dad.

I don't know how they would justify getting Sun & Jin off the island. Maybe the preggers thing will do it :dunno:

Could whoever was in the coffin in the final episode last season be of the the Oceanic 6?

Did anyone else notice that the coffin looked kind of small? If it was one of the Oceanic 6 we can be sure it was not Hurley!

Oceanic 6= Sun, Jin, Kate, Jack, Hurley, & Sayid

I've wondered if the writers are going to throw a curveball with that. Who says Kate has to be one of the 6? Everyone knows her history. Who's to say she didn't make it off the island without being noticed by the masses and there are 6 others survivors?

Did they do something to Ben's voice to make him sound different before they showed his face? I didn't rewind to listen to it again, but the voice sound different at first, like they were trying to trick everyone (and did, in my case).

So what is everyones take on this season so far?

I like it quite a bit. The whole idea of moving from flash-backs in the first couple of seasons to "flash-forwards" in this season is brilliant. Technically, I guess they ended last year's season with that, but I love it.

Any theories on who the people are that Sayid is killing? I guess we can assume they are the people who are after Ben, i.e., the same people who are behind the "rescue" of the Oceanic 6.

I don't think "who" is the right question but "why". The bracelet provided a little clue I think but I'm more interested in why Sayid is working for Ben. Does he have something on/for him (old g/f perhaps) or were the boat people that terrible and Ben was the only one willing to get them? The enemy of my enemy kind of scenario

Here is the main thing that bothers me about lost. Given all the crazy stuff that has happened, from polar bears, to black clouds, to dead people coming back (Charlie), and on-and-on, is it possible to imagine any scenario to explain everything that isn't completely stupid/irritating? For example, if it turns out that all of these people are actually dead and the show represents some kind of pergatory between earth/heaven, that could explain everything thing, but it would also pi$$ me off. I just can't really imagine an ultimate explanation that will both explain everything and not pi$$ me off.

I don't think I will be dissapointed. I'm not sure they can come up with an answer for some of the stuff that has happened. I want to know who or what Jacob is!

i hope it never comes to that. that's one plot twist that i hope never happens. i just think it's kind of lame....

I knew it was Ben when I heard it. But I have a good ear, I guess.

Pergatory was dismissed by the writers a long time ago.

I don't know exact statements, but they've said things to the effect that Lost isn't a science fiction show. It's not a bunch of make believe stuff that could never possibly happen.

Personally, I think they're having fun with some scientific theories that may be truthful on paper, but so far are impossible (or very hard) to prove. Something like time dilation as just one example. Or EM fields. Another theory I've read deals with mirror matter.

I heard a interview with Michael Emerson (Ben) and a separate interview with Terry O'Quinn (Locke). Of course neither of them gave anything away but Michael said "Bad things will be happening to people we've grown to love and we would be seeing people we thought were gone". I may have heard wrong but I think Terry O'Quinn said there are 40 episodes left in the series and they will start shooting again in March.

Sounds correct. 40 more episodes to shoot(although I read filming resumed the week the strike was over). Pre-strike there was supposed to be 48 more shows(seasons 4,5,6). They had 8 ready to go and have said they'll film 5 more now that the strike is over. I've read this season is only supposed to be 13 episodes instead of 16. Although we're still going to get the full 48. They'll said they'll add the other 3 on either season 5 or 6.

I have made a point to avoid spoilers, but if I remember correctly I caught somewhere back in Jan (in an interview with either cast or writer) that the 4th epsiode, tonight's, is supposed to be a standout among the rest.

I remember hearing that at some point, so I don't expect pergatory to be the utlimate explanation. I just don't want to be anything even remotely similar to that.
