The Numbers made another appearance last night, anybody catch'em?

Dharma's Dr. Chang pops up honoring Hurley as a captain of industry in the alternate timeline. We still don't know what became of the Dharma Initiative there. I wonder if Hurley owns it?

Yep. I thought it was interesting that Desmond's order number was 42. After they called it he said "I'm number 42." Doubt that has any significance, but I thought it was interesting.

Almost everything on this show has some significance. I'm guessing this means that Desmond is a candidate now?

Always been one.

I think like the other candidates that the number has been assigned the entirety of his life. I think that to be plauable after the revelations made in the lighthouse....

You don't know that. From what we have seen his name was not on the wall nor has he been touched by Jacob. Also, 42 was Kwon.

Seems your right and it raises a new mystery.

I know there are those who think the numbers are not integral to the final explanations. I disagree given there seeming importance.

The Numbers - Lostpedia - The Lost Encyclopedia

I think they are important but not necessarily integral. We know that the numbers represent the candidates and that they were created by Jacob. But we don't know how the numbers are related to Dharma. How did they get from Jacob to Dharma? That's the most interesting question to me.

Once you throw in the Valenzetti Equation it becomes a cluster without an easy answer. It's also an answer that I don't think will fully be answered. We haven't seen the last of them though.

meh......pretty average episode tonight IMO minus the ending.

maybe it's just me, but with there only being 4 episodes left until the show ends i feel like not as much is going on as i thought there would be at this point. it seems like alot of episodes this season have consisted of 35-40 minutes of buildup and 6 or 7 minutes of any sort of action or revelation. i know that's how this show has always been for the most part, but with only 4 episodes left i was sort of expecting more to be happening. i'm sure it will pick up soon......i guess i'm just impatient with as close as we are to the finale.

The commercial just said there are 4 episodes left. Are there 4 episodes left and then the season finale?

Or are there 3 episodes left and then the season finale, for a total of 4???

I was expecting a mindblowing episode tonight, but it was just average. Just seemed like there wasn't much going on. I know there is setup, but last week's episode (I thought) was the setup episode for a thriller this week.

I have a question.

Did we ever figure out what happened to Christian's body? Because Jack opened up the coffin on the island in season 1 and the body wasn't there, but the smoke monster could take the form of Christian, so doesn't that mean the body is on the island?

If not, why didn't Jack ask the smoke monster about his dad's body when he was talking to him about all this stuff in the most recent episode?

Upon Jack and Hurley's escape from the other's Temple this season they came across the coffin. Hurley ask jack were the body was. Jack told him it was gone when he opened it.

Question about this range from, was he really dead? and was it the smoke monster appearing as his dad.

I have always saw Jack's dad as an contermperay of Charles Withmore. To many question out there to surmize anything beyond this.

It was a setup episode. Trust me, things are going to pickup heavily. Especially the next two episodes. Alot will happen, and we're going to get a ton of answers.

Desmond working his magic in the side timeline. I see that timeline merging somehow. Making people realize they are supposed to be doing something else.
