The Official Libertarian/Anarcho-Capitalist Thread

Author and historian Kevin Gutzman randomly "liked" my facebook comment today. Haha. I was like, "Whoa, I've read two of his books!"

Accessibility is one of the nice aspects to being part of a smaller political movement.

I'm sorry but it is just against my nature to agree with anything in this (or most other) thread!

This is pretty good. The premise is an alien makes contact to see earth's progress, and he has to have the concept of government explained to him.

^Good stuff from 'The Judge'

He addresses the problem most of us are having.:

Vote Romney: to keep BO out
Vote Johnson: to bolster numbers for a third party
Vote Ron Paul: to actually vote for good, positive qualities and a candidate you believe in; not voting againt negative or a bad candidate you dont.

1) You can send courier mail through FedEx? Technically you can, but nobody does it (unless it's over night) because the law forbids FedEx from charging less than $1.50 (or so) for delivery, in order to eliminate competition.

2) Those two sentences are mutually exclusive, IMO.

3) You think a provider of public goods cannot be monopolistic? Why?

The USPS is not a monopoly, however, much like China, without government subsidies (i.e. unfair trade practices), the USPS would soon be out of business.....like next year.
