If he is back, it will be another ****** year. Same recruiting ratings as Butch with no player development, no halftime adjustments, and micro management.

We save a few mil in buyout and lose more in merchandise, donations and ticket sales.

Not sure how you can get embarrassed by Georgia State and BYU in year 2, go 3-7 with all blowout losses to teams like Arkansas and Kentucky in year 3, get caught cheating while losing badly... and still keep your job.

On the brightside, this time next year there will be hell to pay and they will have to throw the house at a real coaching candidate (Freeze). If they don't, knoxville burns.

I'll agree with this portion of your post. I disagree with the second part of your post. If Pruitt is still around, things will only be worse next year. Recruiting next year will be atrocious, and we'll have a whole new crop of horrible assistant coaches with multiple-year contracts with buyouts.

Don’t you just hate it when your plan to start an investigation to find cause to fire your head coach is going so well and then at THE LAST MOMENT you have to change your mind because “reasons?” Darn I hate that.

P.S. Lol at all these fake insiders on here saying they had a meeting today to discuss Pruitt’s future and you “heard” he came in with a great plan that convinced them to keep him and saved his job at the last moment. LOL LOL.

Of all the total BS I have read regarding this, this one takes the cake. NO ONE jumps through every hoop, gets a termination approved of a seven figure salaried employee from all of the places that have to sign off on it, and then gets talked out of it by the person they were going to fire. Trolls gonna troll, I suppose, but that is just plainly laughable.

Sad part is, in totality, we really won't save in buyout because of the new staff members we have to hire for 2021.
Add that to the fact that we really aren't saving any buyout on Pruitt, because we're paying him to stay ... in reality it's gonna cost more next year.

Craziest part of it all is that come folks still flock to him just like with the Gruden thing. If everyone tells him to STFU like some of us did, he would go away.

Edit: Notice how it worked for Water_Rat. Aren't the similarities in the meaning of the screen names uncanny?

For sure, if Pruitt is back, I'll give myself a self-imposed ban for next season. I'll focus on every other Tennessee sport except football. Tired of seeing us piss away talent and opportunities with terrible coaches as AD decisions.

If fat Fulmer hadn't given him a raise and extension before year 3 started, it would have been much easier to ditch cornbread
