If I remember correctly it was something about Peyton being on board for Schiano. I think I still lurked after that, but I was done with posting anything in a Gruden Thread after that. I never want to see BOOM or SOON ever again!

Same here. I think there were 20 or 30 posters on this board that thought it was real, and you could count them easily just by looking. I mean, if you can read between the lines and you're a student of human nature and all that.

I was surprised over the years to find people who thought they were respectable writing that fans really wanted him. I get this feeling that people who explain everything by "most people are oh-do-dumber-than-me" or "most people do this wrong and cause all the problems" are not really aware of what is actually happening. They are trying to project their preconceived simple ideas outward.

I hope so but I also know how incompetent UT is in handling things like this. Always a day late and a dollar short. My prediction Pruitt is back, wins 6 games next year, gets 2022 and is fired after only winning 4 games. UT ends up hiring another DC from Bama wash, rinse and repeat.

Or it means he wants to get out of a toxic environment that is not changing anytime soon. Why would he leave if Freeze or someone else is on their way?

I'll take him over Pruitt and he has a better track record than Dooley for sure. But obviously Freeze would be the much better hire. Its just Old Money likes Napier, but a lot of Old Money have been on the side of Fulmer with keeping Pruitt. Did Young Money have to let Old Money pick Napier for everyone to come to agreement? We will see

Believing this either says a lot about me and how gullible I am when I want something to be true, or from what I’ve heard and read this is the real deal.
