The Official It Was A Good Call Thread

I'm glad I can help. This whole, "people are mean and calling me names, I should be allowed to say dumb stuff without people saying things about me" sounds like crying.

Once again, thank you. I didn't realize that calling people out for being rude was crying. The immaturity of your response is exactly what I'm talking about. I have an opinion, and you immediately want to "say things about me" instead of presenting your argument.

Even Michigan fans are thanking refs which pretty means that they thought it was a crap call and they got lucky.

He lowered his shoulder. The officiating was bad all the way around. For example, the ball was out on Maymon, still went to Tennessee.

Looked like he was squaring up to the basket to me, plus he received a lot of contact. Ten seconds let'em play.

And here. "You're calling me stupid and a troll whaaaaaaa you're so mean guys" that's how you sound.

I would have like to seen Stokes get it closer to the elbow. But I have no issues with it going to him by itself.
My other thought was Richardson off a Maymon ball screen with Stokes somewhere near the basket and Maymon rolling in behind the shot.

There are so many options that if it doesn't work it's going to be seconded guess. There wasn't a clear cut play.

looked like if the play continued the ball is stolen well it was swatted the second after the whistle with not enough time to get back and get another good shot off

I'm not sure if his action was an attempt to square up, if anything I think he could have been attempting to get the ball out to Jordy.

Close, but bad call; Richardson or McRae should have had a chance to drive the lane to begin with IMO.

Should have been block call. Morgan didn't beat him to the spot. Morgan didn't get his feet seet. Morgan didn't give Stokes room to make a basketball move. Stokes didn't lower his shoulder and extend his arm.

That's because you are wrong, and I didn't ridicule anyone as you stated in your attempt to validate yourself.

Calling someone immature for expressing their opinions is in no way different than someone calling you stupid, Or as I put it and gladly own up to it, a moron for having your opinion on the call. If you want to disagree with me, that's fine. Go right ahead. Not going to hurt my feelings one bit.

I said the name calling is immature, not the expressing of an opinion. Here is how that works...

Differing opinion: I disagree that it was a good call and here is why...

I have not yet called anyone immature for this, I simply stated that name calling is immature. If you find that to be the same, apologies. However, I never once called someone immature.

By rule it's a block if the defender's feet aren't set before the offensive player begins making his move. Last year it's a charge. This year it's a block.

Stop complaining.....it was the right call. The defenders feet only have to be set if the offender is in the act of scoring or passing....stokes was trying to bully his way in between 2 defenders. In this case, the defenders only have to be in a guarding position, which they were....great game but don't blame the refs.....bad play call in my opinion

Bad play call, but that wasnt an offensive foul. Especially not in the closing moments of a Sweet Sixteen game. ESPECIALLY not when the defender flails in the way Morgan did. Flop city.

That was an absolute crime of an ending and i really feel bad for Jarnell. Dude got penalized all year for being stronger than everyone.

The play never developed. You can't judge whether it was a bad call or not. Thanks to the "charge" we will never really know.

It was a completely idiotic play call by Martin: You throw the ball to McRae or Richardson and let one of them go to work--guys who are hard to cover and can get a shot off, and probably a pretty good one. That's what you do. That's what 99.999999 percent of the coaches in the history of basketball would have done. But, no, Martin decides to throw it to our center who is 14 feet from the basket, so that he could do what? He's a center! He's not a slashing ball-handler. You throw the ball to Stokes when he is six feet from the basket. I have NO IDEA what Martin was thinking.

well then you and all the Michigan fans agree on that call. funny how every neutral observer in the country viewed it as a bad call.

Some Louisville fans sitting around me called it one of the worst calls they had ever seen. So I don't think I have orange colored glasses on when I say it was a bad call. We got screwed

By rule it was not a bad call...should it have been called to decide the outcome of a game? Probably not. Doesn't make the call bad, makes the judgement bad...if it happened the other way around all you guys would have been praising the refs...any how that call shouldnt even matter because michigan got screwed on the out of bounce call....stop being homer fans and take a loss like men...blame the stupid play call not refs
