Based on one game? His second game left a lot to be desired. Every throw was low or behind his receiver, or into too tight a spot (the first INT).
Locker has proven to be an NFL caliber QB in plenty of regular season games. Luck has had one great game, and one pretty bad game. Both preseason, and partly against second string defenses.
I distinctly said he should have caught it. It was still a bad throw. He had several bad throws last night.
I'll just leave it at that. I know it was a bad throw. I'm sure you recognize it was a bad throw. I've never known you to admit anything unfavorable about your beloved colts, so there's no point discussing anything with you.
Andrew Luck didn't have the prettiest numbers in the Indianapolis Colts' 26-24 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night, but there's mounting evidence the No. 1 overall pick will be an immediate contributor in his rookie season
It was a bad play -- your classic rookie mistake -- but Luck never lost his composure. He could be seen on the sideline telling offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, "I (messed) up." He put his helmet back on, then led the Colts to two touchdowns and a field goal in his last four series. He might have scored on all four drives if not for an ugly case of butterfingers by wide receiver T.Y. Hilton.
This guy's the real deal.
Locker has proved nothing, except that he can have a QB rating of 7. Luck started out bad last night but he finished strong, you are the only person on the planet calling his game last night a "pretty bad one".

He had more than 1 bad moment last night. He looked consistently bad until the 2nd string D came in.
His throws were pretty inaccurate at times, but you'll never admit that.
Also, I'm not the one that brought Locker into this. In his typical grade school fashion, vfj tried to deflect criticism of Luck by pointing to Locker's bad game.
Read again. The point was never to compare the two. The point was trying to point out to vfj that Luck shouldn't be crowned the savior yet. He had a pretty bad game last night.
Then, VFJ, in his usual form, unable to handle criticism of his team, deflected to Locker.
Being critical is fine, but to say he had a bad game shows how much you don't understand football.
Luck had it going on Indianapolis' next possession before being undone by a turnover. He found rookie wide receiver T.Y. Hilton in stride down the middle only to have the wide-open Hilton throw the ball up in the air. Pittsburgh's Cortez Allen ran underneath it to thwart the drive, but it hardly slowed the Colts.
Luck got one more chance just before the half, and he made it count. Working exclusively out of the shotgun, Luck led the Colts 31 yards in five plays, giving Adam Vinatieri just enough time - and room - to sneak a kick between the uprights at the halftime gun.
Luck bounced back with a sublime quarter in which he refused to get rattled against the defense that finished No. 1 in the league last fall.
Using his mobility to step away from pressure and his vision to find open receivers, Luck didn't look like a guy who won't make his first NFL regular-season start for another three weeks
