The Official Indianapolis Colts Thread

I didn't get to watch this one, but it's going to be tough to win in the postseason with total rushing yards in the 60s.

The MVP has to be a dead heat right now. Brees has the stats but also the better supporting cast.

the latter of which though doesnt mean too much in this voting though; plus those saints guys arent getting touted as Andre Johnson or Calvin Johnson type receivers either

the dead heat statement is pretty right

Peyton's stat's are just as good as Brees' with basically no running game and a defense that will allow any decent runner 100-150 yards.

good but unfortunately - and im going to get chewed out for this i just know already - the AP voters really aren't going to care

If anything, it's manning has a slight margin b/c he's the established peyton manning

The voters will consider a wide variety of factors, especially when the stats and team record are nearly identical.

It might be another year for co-MVPs (a la Manning-McNair).

Brees is at 32td, 10int, 112.3 rating with 3 game to go. Manning has, I believe, 34, 14, and may have boosted his rating over 100 (I don't think ESPN has updated tonight's overall stats) with 2 to go. Very close but Brees' are better.

Yeah, I was wrong. Last week when I was looking at them they were basically the same. 3 INT last week kinda hurt QB rating. Either way, they are that similar and Brees definitely has a better supporting cast as far as defense and run game is concerned.

True, but the stats are so close that something else besides stats will be the deciding factor for the voters.

Wayne is great, but the trio of Colston, Henderson, and Meach is maybe unmatched in the league. Just looked and noticed they're all over 16 ypc, which is rather sick.

These young WRs Peyton is throwing to (excluding Reggie and Dallas, of course) might sway the MVP voters in Peyton's favor.

MVP or no MVP, Peyton has his eye on the grand prize.

As good as Garcon has played this year I would definitely take Meach over him. I think I'd keep Collie. Kid has played outstandingly for a rookie.

Man I dont' think I've ever seen a 14-0 team get so little respect. I think playing the "no respect" card is overdone, but having said that the way the sports media is fawning over San Diego it's like the Colts don't exist. On ESPN Radio today they were already putting the Chargers in the Super Bowl.

I hope they do meet the Chargers in the playoffs personally. I want to see them smash Rivers' face into the turf.

thought i share that with you guys!

1) Since when do I care what a commentator on ESPNRadio thinks?

2) The Colts were AWFUL when Peyton arrived. Hardly 'bandwagon'. Whoever said this should look up the definition.
