The Official Indianapolis Colts Thread

Peyton Manning(notes) watched disbelievingly one pass after another hit the ground Sunday.
Then he demonstrated how an undefeated team survives the perfect storm.
After throwing three early TDs, then three inexplicable interceptions, Manning led the Colts on a late TD drive to beat Denver 28-16, breaking NFL records for most consecutive regular-season wins (22) and most wins in a decade (114), plus wrapping up home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

So high it’s previously unreached by any NFL team.

It was quite a day in Indy, which celebrated its 22nd consecutive win. The Colts broke a tie with New England, which set the mark last year, and became the seventh team in league history to start 13-0, including this year’s New Orleans Saints. Indy also was 13-0 in 2005 before losing three of the last four, including a divis1onal-round playoff game to Pittsburgh.
Indy’s 114th victory of the decade broke a tie with the 1990s San Francisco 49ers and set a franchise record with its 13th consecutive home win.

So anyone else getting a feeling of deja vu over the Chargers getting red hot before the playoffs?

The good news is that the Chargers have a good shot at the No. 2 seed, which means the Colts would only face them in the AFC Championship game... in Indianapolis.

The way the defense has been playing lately... I like the Colts chances.

I would think the Chargers are the new Patriots for the Colts.

If the guys could just put together a whole game, its frustrating to watch them play only 1 half of football, on the other hand it goes to show how good this team is when the last 7 weeks they have not played great and yet find a way to win. Maybe we still have our best football in front of us, and if that is the case the rest of the teams in the playoffs are all playing for second place.

I want us to play SD, we owe them.

I was listening to a radio interview this morning with Caldwell and he seemed to be having a little indecision about whether to rest the guys or not. I think he ends up trying to go 16-0, if we lose a game I don't think it will be because we rested players. The starters play this Thursday for sure, I believe.

No big deal. I want to play them so badly in the playoffs. I think they are the only team who could beat the Colts but the way last season ended still makes me sick.

Yeah... the last two seasons, the Chargers have ended to Colts Super Bowl dreams. Needless to say... I hate the Chargers. It makes it easier when they have a d-bag QB like Rivers.

Rivers is a little punk, I would love to see Freeney come off the corner and drill him. At this point I hate the Chargers more than the Pats. Atleast if this matchup happens they have to come to our place.

Well guys tonight we go for 14-0, I think we win this one like 20-14. I am pretty sure we will be missing some important players in this game, but there is obviously so way all 29 on the injury report will miss this game. I think I saw where Powers is out, I guess that means Jennings will play more:( I am guessing Freeney and Mathis will play on situational downs. And I would be surprised if Addai touched the ball more than 10 times. Clark may also be limited.
