The Official Indianapolis Colts Thread

Justin trolls the Titans forum all the time. Just gets butthurt when come on here and give him a taste of his own medicine

Colts just straight up own the Texans. They're like 21-3 against them all time. Something like that.

There is really no reason the Colts should have won that game. When a good teams lets a bad team hang around anything is possible. Their inability to convert 3rd downs cost them the game, I think they only converted one the whole night. But the Colts D did step up big last night and Dan O played well.

0-10 all time in Indianapolis.

I do not consider this to be a typical Texans meltdown, though. They've been decimated by injuries. Their defense is going to be really good for a long time, too, unfortunately. Connor Barwin, JJ Watt, Brooks Reed, Cushing, Ryans, etc...No need for them to sign Mario Williams in the offseason now. Would take him in Nashville if the price is right.

I think the Texans are legit now. They've got a lot of talent.

As for the Colts, their run is over. This is the Texans division now. The Colts aren't king of the AFC South anymore, but they did have a brilliant run.

Hope the young nucleus the Titans have put together can rise up and challenge in the next few years.

The Texans aren't going to be a dynasty, IMO. I think if the Titans can improve on the success they've had with their young players, the division is wide open for the next while. Unless, of course, the Texans continue building and actually do construct a power house.

If Peyton comes back 100% healthy I disagree with you. If they let Peyton and the other older guys go and draft Luck then you are right.

Injuries, have you looked at the Colts injury report lately? This was a meltdown, no way that the Colts should have beat the Texans last night.

I don't know, man. The Texans overall talent is sick. If they can hold it together and still manage to add a few pieces here and there, they look like a long-term contender. That defensive front 7 is nuts. The WR group needs some work and they could use a safety, but they're deep. Andre Johnson is about to be old all of a sudden.

The Jags...Well, I don't see them being a .500 team for awhile. Very young and not very talented. They've drafted VERY poorly.

The Colts...Getting old all over the place and haven't drafted well in the past five years. If Peyton can play a few more years, they might get better all of a sudden, but without him it's going to be awhile. Freeney, Wayne, Saturday, Clark, PM...All in their 30s.

The Titans...Some really, really good young pieces, especially on defense, but there are still some significant holes. Finding a pass rusher or two, IMO, is the biggest priority. Then they need two new interior OL and another WR. I'm a believer that the front end (DL/LBs) will instantly improve the back end and I like the secondary as it stands, but there are 20 unsigned players right now. Roster could look a lot differently next year.

But if the Colts lose to the Jags and get Luck, they could be legit for a good bit once he develops, but they still have a lot of holes to fill.

The Colts always have a ton of injuries. I don't buy it at all. The difference is Peyton, but everyone knows that. This is a typical Colts season, injury wise. They're the most fragile team in football.

The Texans lost their #1 WR, #1 and #2 QB, and #1 pass rusher. That's really bad.

At this point we agree, the Texans are the best team in the division. The Colts are old but, my opinion is if Peyton is back, the whole group will be back and will be contenders once again. Look at this year if Peyton was there I see only 2 probable loses on this schedule and that was opening week at Houston and at the Saints, every other game would have been winnable.

If they let Peyton go and are fortunate enough to draft Luck if will be full rebuild mode and you are right, this team will likely suffer for a couple of seasons.

I agree with all that, but look at Colts injury report (and you are right, its' like this every season) but starting safety, starting MLB, starting TE, best CB, and of course Peyton all out.

Again, no way the Texans should have lost that game last night.

If the teams finish with the same record the Colts still get the pick. If St Louis or Minnesota get the pick I am sure both would trade it.

My hope for the Colts, if they screw around and lose the #1 pick I hope they find someone who has fallen in love with RG3 and trade that pick to them and trade down and gather future picks.

If the Colts don't have the opportunity to get Luck, I hope they go defense in the draft. I like the big CB from LSU. Still hope they change head coach but if they end up winning last 3, I think Caldwell survives.

I believe Caldwell has saved his job. If they don't get Luck the worst they could have is the 3rd pick, I hope they trade back and stockpile picks.

Justin Blackmon, IMO.

Then focus on the D from the 2nd on. They drafted the two OTs last year. Maybe they draft an interior OL in the early rounds, but I think a WR to replace Wayne will be their top priority should they not get the #1 pick.

Blackmon an awesome physical specimen, does he have the mental toughness to be a premier NFL receiver?
