Guys, let's seriously lay off Hamilton right now.

1) He did hire Bruce Pearl.

2) He's probably not going to make a move until the end of the year to keep all of the political aspects from getting his butt in trouble. And really, he shouldn't make a move until the end of the year. He should give Fulmer a chance to leave gracefully and begin the process of finding a new coach.

Leave MH out of it....for now.

thank you. Hamilton has done nothing but make improvements to UT's athletic department. Give him his chance to make yet another improvement.

Fire Fulmer is one thing, but people actually wanting Mike Hamilton to go? Some people amaze me.

According to his auto response emails, he disagrees with anyone who thinks Fulmer's time is up.

Tenn's secondary has never been remarkable as far as I can remember, but they've seldom been this ineffective. Tenn has had some great individual players in the secondary over the years...Deon Grant and Dwayne Goodrich come to mind...but I'm struggling to remember a time when the strength of a good Tenn defense was not in the front seven.

From watching the game today I got a very sad feeling. I looked as point after point was piled up on my beloved big orange and just watched and wondered. I saw some calls by the officials that I thought were kinda controversial, but what did CPF do? Of coarse the famous golf clap :clapping:. Then, I watched florida kentucky. Even if Urban is the Pitino of College Football, Atleast he showed emotion and chewed out a player or 2 along with some officials. Brooks also chewed out a ref or 2. Then as both teams made a few big plays both coaches seemed as if they were in the game celebrating with there team and all. I thought WOW where is that at UT? Then I watch the auburn lsu game and I was amazed. Auburn's Tommy and there d.c. were into the game at all times. Even Les Miles was givin a chewin to the officials. As lsu scored with 1 second left and Miles went nuts I thought wow thats awesome way to be in the game. If that had been us what would we have seen from the sidelines? You guessed it :clapping:. So the question I ask is Has Fulmer lost the fire to coach? If so please just step down if you really love this university as much as you say. Am I right here, or am I just in the wrong?

Its pretty simple 8-4 and he will get another shot next year.
But we are probaly gonna lose to Arky, UK, and Vandy and if SC had a good receiver, they to would be on that elite list

I hate losing as much as anybody but making a coaching change in the middle of the season is a boneheaded move.

We're gonna have to get the CFB version of Bruce Pearl. Though I havent a clue as to who could win with no pass rush.

yanno......I think the whole football program either needs to change it's demeanor and swagger.......or change coaching staff.....

the DL never developed at UT. Mapu, Bolden, etc. Both 4 star recruits.

Bolden was 4*
Mapu was 5*
Mitchell was 4*
Reynolds was 3*

Ayers was 4*
Williams was 3*
Brown was 4*
Mathis was 4*
Fisher was 5*

Seems like the "experts" thought most of these guys would be better. Maybe it's time we get better coaches?

Seriously, I think goodolerockytop was being facetious.

At least I hope he was.

I saw Fulmer clapping after a Bama TD. Maybe he's trying to make his bones with Saban in hopes of picking up an assistant's job on his way down the ladder.
