I'm not sure I'd call it perfect. The Gears announcement was a pretty big letdown IMHO; instead of a collection, we're getting the first one remastered and I'm guessing they'll charge $60 for it, meaning they'll do the same thing for the next 2 games.
And time will tell if it's full compatibility. I'm guessing it will be like the 360 BC where most of the games were playable but not all.
Great GREAT show by MS! They absolutely killed it! Huge emphasis on exclusives, which they needed to do! Plus the megaton of 360 backwards compatibily was enormous. Their conference was damn near perfect!
My only negative really is that I'm still not 100% sold on Hololens. I still feel like it's a gimmick. Plus, I'm not a fan of Minecraft so that demo did absolutely nothing for me! If they had demoed the holo game from The Millineum Falcon, THEN I would have been more interested! LOL
So the thought of turning your living room into into your computer's desktop/the holo deck from Star Trek doesn't give you a techno boner??!
Not that I disagree with you but where have you been? This has been known for quite some time now. It wasn't exactly a shock to everyone. Sony is doing the exact same thing with God of War 3 HD Remastered
I'm very skeptical of that proof of concept demo. I still remember the original Kinect demo with that "Milo" character that turned out to be a completely scripted concept and we never got it. I fear this is the same idea.
