-I think Allen has it over Hooker. I would not be shocked if the Lions try and find a way to keep Hooker on the roster and go with 3 QBs however.
- I still have Lovett over Meeks but it's close. I can't imagine they go with 7 WR's. Just seems crazy to me.
- I have them with 6 IOL with Colon out. They need Eguakan on the roster but he's only repped at C with Detroit. That's why I have Niese making it. Colon hasn't been put on anything yet, that's a good sign he's not out for the year. But based off Dan's quotes, he will need IR time.
- I have 4 EDGE players, but a couple things could change that. One is if Paschal can be ready for September. Barnes can play as an EDGE so that way they don't have just 4 guys there, plus Cooper can probably play EDGE on early downs. I still think Brad might sign a proven guy (Clowney, please) but we are 19 days away and they haven't made a move so....
- I still think Detroit can go with 7 backers and 3 safeties since Maddox and Ya-Sin have repped safety. That wouldn't surprise. They have raved about Whiteside and Kennelly has gotten more reps than Strickland, so I think they both make it.
- EDIT: Added Wingo and took off Whiteside. Only 5 corners but Maddox is basically backup NB anyways. Detroit always like the extra linemen and they can probably get a couple CB's through practice squad and promote them if necessary.

If it's anything like those dudes typically operate, the moment the lions have a down year (even if it's 10 wins this year), he'll take a huge victory lap.

Ruiz especially. I like The Ringer's sports coverage. He is absolutely terrible. I can't believe he got hired. He's boring, he's condescending, he's not even that good of an overall writer. For example, in this piece, he states the Lions should have addressed QB, which they actually did with Hendon Hooker in the third. That wasn't good enough. But yet makes no suggestions on what they should have done.

- I just don't see a spot for Hooker. I think he would clear waivers, some teams like 3 QB's, but I think Detroit has too many guys starting the year with injuries to take a chance and go with 3 QB's.
- Some Lions beat guys are saying Detroit is going with 5 WR's. I can't see Lovett not making the team. Only one draft pick under Brad has not made the opening roster and that was James Houston. Lovett has enough juice as a ST that someone would pick him up IMO. So I got them with 6.
- Detroit could still go with 6 IOL and maybe go light somewhere else but I think they're comfortable with 9 and then using a PS call up as the 10th OL for the first few weeks. They got a couple guys they like that should sneak through (Neti and Neise) and can promote those guys.
- I still think Detroit is going to sign a DE before the next weekend. I just can't imagine they think Davenport will actually hold up. I could see a trade for somebody if making their is a cap casualty or a rebuilding team wants to give some young guy a chance over a vet (not a big name). This is the 10th time I'm suggesting Jadaveon Clowney. If not, I think they go with Agude or Lynn.
- Now, 6 DT's is a lot, but Wingo and Cooper are athletic enough to help out at the 3/4i tech with Detroit liking heavier bodies opposite of Hutch.
- It wouldn't shock me if Detroit went with 3 safeties since Maddox and Ya-Sin both have repped safety. Hallett probably has a lock spot up since he has played all 5 DB spots this preseason and done it well, Detroit loves that versatility.
