The Official Denver Broncos Thread

This team makes so many mental errors. Montee Ball cost them 2 drives. I'll be happy if he never sees another down for the Broncos. Welker is worthless this year. Hopefully J Thomas is alright. He showed his greenness today, running a 1 yard out on 3rd and 2. SMH

Nasty. Can't understand why that kind of hit is still happening. NFLPA needs to regulate that ish. If Mcleod played ball, he might've picked that. He was straight up head hunting.

.....and the incorrectly called horse collar tackle is worth as many yards as the hit that almost killed Sanders, LOL.

I hate to say it but I think this may be peyton's last year. he looks more frustrated than I've seen him in his entire career. I think he is having problems with his control and his long ball just isn't there like it used to be.

I thought he was most accurate with the deep ball, today, when he had time to throw it.

I take full blame for Denver's piss poor performance. What's worse is that the Dome was dead. Literally, the place was dead. I've never been to a more quiet professional sporting event than this game.

Its now the worst since the Metrodome was was torn down --

it just seems like teams are sitting on the short to intermediate passes against Denver and peyton is having problems with it.

I agree, but that's only a problem when they have guys who can't get separation underneath. When JT and Sanders are in the game, Manning can do work. With them out of the game, nobody else can get open underneath, the Rams just double DT and with the average OL play, DT doesn't have time to get open.

Manning doesn't have the arm strength or the mobility to single-handedly win a game when crap is falling apart around him. It's too bad he didn't have a team like this 6 years ago. This would have been one of his best Ds in Indy, and the weapons (when healthy) are top-notch. They have to be healthy and get good OL play, or they are screwed.

I'm ok with the draft. I would have preferred Lacy to Ball if only because I'm afraid of Big Ten plodders. Look at the defensive talent in the draft from the Big Ten. But I've also learned to trust Elway's drafting skills. He seems to hit more than most.

Sometimes you just want to toot your own horn. Ball is most likely a bust.

Wait, Broncos had a shot at Lacy? For me it's not about Big 10 RBs so much as Wisconsin RBs. They all seem to be a product of a system, and nothing special.

When Miami fumbles 3 times, has 0 turnovers, and gets 3 TDs in a half, it just feels like Denver is supposed to lose.

Denver's defense is such a liability this season. All I heard at beginning of season was how the changes made it into one of best D's in league. The past few games the D can't stop anybody. Combined with the offensive issues lately, Denver's post-season will be short and sweet assuming they get there. Frustrating.

I have to agree. I think they still win the division but know way they go on the road and win in the play offs.

On paper they should be loaded. Maybe it's DelRio.

Manning's declining arm is showing up more and more. That's not to say he can't still put up MVP numbers. I just wouldn't rely on him to carry you against a good defense.

But I think this is a better team right now, than it was last year. The running game looks good. The pass rush looks good. And Trevathan returning, and Talib getting back should help.

Prater had a big contract and I don't think he's been kicking that well this year. Barth looks like a great solution, so far.
