Confess to being and retirement snob and being a workist and all will be better.Well crapola. I had the Pfizer shot 1 three weeks ago, and have been sick with every fn covid symptom they list. No sleep either. Now just starting to feel a bit better, and Tuesday I get shot 2. Not too optimistic about this whole deal.
In my sub here, 2 others have had the same reaction as me, one had to go to the hospital for a week. I am not sure about getting the second shot if it will tear me up again.
If you don’t it’ll be as if you didn’t get the first one and will be for naught. I know it’s easier for someone like me that hasn’t taken the vaccine.Well crapola. My younger stepdaughter had a very mild case of Covid last fall. She had her first Moderna 3 weeks ago and was pretty miserable for 2-3 days. There is research suggesting that prior infection with current antibodies plus the first Pfizer or Moderna results in the equivalent 2nd round for those who had never been infected, which makes sense with how the two-round mRNA vaccines work. Who knows. If you don’t it’ll be as if you didn’t get the first one and will be for naught. I know it’s easier for someone like me that hasn’t taken the vaccine.
I know, it’s what makes me gun shy on taking any of the vaccines. I keep going back and forth on it. I’m about out of my window of Covid antibodies and I know I have to make a decision soon. Chicken I know, but dread feeling anywhere near to the crap.My younger stepdaughter had a very mild case of Covid last fall. Does it help at all to know/believe that THIS TIME the symptoms (if they happened) would be due to the vaccine, probably not lasting more than 2-3 days, instead of due to infection, with all the scary what-ifs, and of unknown duration? —I truly don’t know. I completely understand not wanting to experience that again, but even more, not wanting to be actually sick again.I know, it’s what makes me gun shy on taking any of the vaccines.
