The Official Charlotte Hornets Thread

Haha! Forgot Rambis was a Hornet, and he was still pretty good when he played for them.

Armen Gilliam! LOL

It shocks me how easy it is to forget guys who were once very solid players.

Bogues averaged 8 apg in just 22 mpg in '89. Why just 22 mpg? Holton was a weak PG.

Because he was only being 5'3" maybe? I can't think of anything else

Would rather have Stauskas, but who knows. The NBA draft is such a crap shoot.

I just don't like Stauskas. I'm sure he's the better NBA player but I'd have a hard time rooting for him.

I don't mind picking McDermott because I dont expect anyone at #9 to come in and be a starter. And he would fit in at backup SF perfectly.

I want Randle if he falls. If not, my top 3 would be:

Harris
McDermott
Stauskas

Honestly, it sucks that we chose to be mediocre and creep into the playoffs this year. We really could have used a top 3 pick, as I think the top guys in this class are going to make big impacts in the league. It tapers off badly after #6 or so.

It also sucks just how bad the draft was last year. We're stuck waiting to see how Cody Zeller pans out before we can move on in any way.

The confusion I've had this off season (so far) is that MJ came out and said they expect to sign a superstar in free agency - then said he sincerely hopes they can get a deal done with McRoberts.

Well, if they're resigning McBob then that leaves only one position that'll be upgraded - SG. They're not going to move Kemba, MKG or Big Al to supporting roles so who are they going to sign to replace Henderson?

The only flashy superstar name is Lance Stephenson, and that's a serious stretch.
