The official "Can't get Phil off my mind" thread (merged)

Why bring this up again? You know these goofballs are going to go nuts with it bash a good man who did good things. No, he wasn't able to win a National Championship every year and wasn't the greatest of all time, but he did alot of GREAT things for this university and program, and a few bad things. Leave it alone.

When you guys get to the end of your career and/or life, I hope people gather around and make jokes about your accomplishments or lack thereof.

I'm sure I'll have accomplished more than you have so I'm not worried about it.

But hopfully my ego (and belly) won't be as big as Foolmore's. And maybe I'll not be a complete con like he is either.

They will! That's life, and when my employer pays me millions to leave, I'll finance the gathering and supply some jokes myself.

Fulmer won 1 title, then coasted the rest of the way, dragging the program down to little or nothing.

WOW.... How to be nice to a coach that brought many of you good memories in '98 and before.

I disagree with the poster as I do think that Fulmer is past his prime and I do like the way Dooley is running things. I'm different because I do like Class and Respect over WIN, WIN, WIN all the time.

Many of the Vols fans on here don't understand that we wouldn't be able to talk about our NC in '98 if it weren't for Fulmer but they surely can make fun of him on a regular basis.

The RESPECT on here is just laugh-able.

Its seems to be the new Vol Generation. Not all of them/you but alot seem to think that a Discussion Forum about UT Football gives you the right to just saying all kinds of immature stuff. Fortunately it doesn't reflect us all.

You take life way too serious!

:hi:

True. It's the only one I have though.

What's interesting is that I laugh more on a daily basis than anyone around me. Laughing and enjoying life is not excluded from "taking it serious." I would argue just the opposite but I'm not a huge fan of endless arguing and seemingly witty one liners.

Yet you complain on an internet message board about respect of coach with complete strangers.......

I'm missing something some where........

Let me help you out...Again.

ENDLESS - without end.
SEEMINGLY - in appearance but not necessarily in actuality.

Now for the end part. The End.

You can be a happy person and still know how to watch your words to be RESPECTFUL. Standing up for what you believe in, wether its a message board or in person is worth doing.

Learning how to be positive and not negative will help one have a more joyful life.

Making fun of others doesn't make anyone a better person.

You've got to be kidding me. We have a coach in here trying to change everything to more stability and alot of guys have already started moaning. You haven't even given him a chance yet.

1) Coach won us a National Championship and still works with the school because of his dedication - He's stupid and Fat
2) Coach comes in here with a loud mouth and pushes everyone around cutting corners only to bring in bad recruits and bolt for more pay - Many liked him when he was here
3) Now we have a coach who recruited his tail off when needed and is trying to pull a team together while bringing stability to an unstable program. - We don't like him because he's not doing it the way I won't it done

Childish

Sounds like an accurate description of Dooley.

Aren't you the same guy with negative comments about Pearl. I don't know if anyone would live up to your standards. Glad to have you as a fellow Vol fan and way to set your expectations bar at a realistic level. :hi:
