I don't think he meant for Manning to coach here but for him to pay bUTch's contract out and he can be fired without putting U.T. A.Department in bad shape financially.

From a friend who works in the Chattanooga area, Peyton is currently looking at a house to buy in Ooltewah, that he has heard from a booster, Butch was gone at the start, that Bob Stoops is actually not a rumor, but there is something there, vague to me considering he heard then told me, just thought I’d pass it along

I'm sorry, but I'm not following. What does Manning looking at a home in the area have to do with Butch or Tennessee Football?

Originally thought it would be after a Bama blowout and a 3-4 record. However since it's a CBS game perhaps he gets canned today or tomorrow...if the UTAD wants to avoid hearing Gary and Brad drone on endlessly about it.

Could be after loss to KY at EOM.

Or as with Dooly, not until 7th loss. But if not keeping a 6-6 Jones, then why wait.

Because they are cheap, they want the boosters to commit to paying the full buyout before he gets canned.

Something I got from an acquaintance (UGA grad) who flies for "money". He's a sharp guy. Hard to believe he's just messing with me. I think he's had a passenger or two, or been somewhere, or heard something solid about a coaching search. He knows I'd never drop his name, but he gets paid well to keep "what happens at 30,000 feet, at 30,000 feet." I posted what he told me earlier. Should be easy to find.

I was on the road all day yesterday, and I think he was at the UGA game. I'll send him a msg after church just to see if he's in the mood to share anything, if he even knows. Last I heard from him was that he'd said as much as he could or knew. I think that's the truth.

If I had to guess, I'd say he made a flight related to a coaching search. and that's where his info comes from. It'll all come out after this is over, but at that point who cares?

Hope springs eternal. I still think it's after the Bama game.

not calling for peyton to coach but to lead the coaching search. keep the pilot people away for choosing our new coach because they are bad a choosing coaches. see our last 3 coaching picks.

Super Bowl winner.
Retire and rest and recreation.
Intern as assistant NFL General Manager.
Then, NFL General Manager.
Probably as partial owner.

CBJ will coach the Kentucky game.
Beyond that is fluid. Things can always change but I believe he will be here at least that long.

You are likely correct, but I think we have the talent to beat Kentucky. We will not win with jones/scott.
