Well it’s really about money but I do think he gets fired by the end of the year . He’s completely lost the team

Really not stupid if you really think about it. People wanted Dormady to play because they wanted to see what this offense and system looked like with an accurate pocket passer. A lot of us have known for a while that Dobbs was bailing Butch out. If Dormady had played last year or two years ago we could have already gotten rid of Butch. Instead we have had to suffer a few more humiliating losses because Dobbs was good enough to keep him around.

Good point but who is your " accurate pocket passer"? I am more accurate than Dormady. He throws behind receivers 80% of the time

dude this analogy is stale and fans will not put up with that crap....anybody at the game or watching from home can see this team has quit on butch. I dont understand why keeping butch especially considering the early signing period in december, its inevitabe that some recruits are going to leave

He's been fired. He knows it. The media knows it. The team knows it. It just has not been announced while everything is put in place for a replacement.

I understand you point considering what this AD has done in recent history but Currie IMO didnt give butch an extension for a reason and this doesnt include butch hiring a new agent this offseason

Quick question. I've noticed some saying they wait until the end of the season. What's the benefit of this? Would it make the buyout cheaper? If not, why not go ahead and pull the trigger?

Firing him after the early signing period would be best. If we fire him now, we will be in a huge rush to get someone in place so they have time to recruit before December. And I have a feeling it isn't easy hiring in the middle of the year.

Early signing period in December. Let CBJ recruit until then. Fire him after the bowl game. Many analysts believe the vast majority of players will sign in December this year.

I 100% believe Butch deserves to be here until the end of the year....he has absolutely earned that right in all he has done in recruiting, raising the graduation and gpa rates and with making our program relevant again (we have at least been a discussion pre-season and there has been excitement around our program and in turn recruiting).

What I hope and what WE SHOULD ALL HOPE happens is... That we regroup during the off week, give the ball to our future at QB in JG and we generate some offense. Our remaining schedule now looks much more favorable than it once did. Outside of Bama who can't we beat if we score 21 point and play defense like we began the game yesterday?

As easy as it is to say FIRE BUTCH, I can't help but think of where we were when he walked into town.

If anything its time to band together, support our team and hope Coach Jones can right the ship for the remainder of the season. IMO it is counter productive as a fan to hope anything but as JONES WILL BE HERE TIL DECEMBER.

Guys,
I want Butch gone after the season as much as any of you, but it should be after the season. If they fired him now it would be absolute chaos. Recruits would be jumping ship, players would be transferring, and we would lose the rest of the games on the schedule. I would much rather let Butch finish out the season while Currie looks for a new guy behind the scenes.

I get that argument too, but if we keep performing like we are now, we are most likely to have several decommits before December. We might not even make a dang bowl game. It's a realistic possibility that we lose to South Carolina, Vandy, and even Kentucky. This team looks that bad and appears to be getting worse. He's lost the locker room. If they pull the trigger now and hire a big name coach before the signing period they may have a chance to salvage this class.
