What is all this talk about Smotlz possibly being traded. Do you guys think that is a possiblity at this point?

Journal Constitution says no, they think that next year they will have a great rotation with Smoltz, Hudson and a healthy Mike Hampton.

I ran across that article after I posted that. I would hate to see them lose Smoltz.

last night espn announcers were talking about how they'd trade smoltz for young talent...? they have a lot of young talent with mccann, franceour, orr, betemit, davies, and in their system.. but who knows

Braves are losing to the Blue Jays and they are 3-17 in the last 20. Cox may not be in danger of losing his job but he is not getting any pats on the back from me. :)

I'm not sure Orangesqaure but in my 9 months of posting here, I've never seen anyone give Freak the finger.I'd be careful on that gesture if I were you.

Surely he understands my meaning is in jest. The goofy smile on the guys face tells me thats a joke poking middle finger, not one in anger.


I dont think the "whole organization" is in shambles. I still think the Braves have one of the best farm systems in the Majors. That, and they sell good hotdogs. LOL

I just hate to see the Braves struggle.I hate to see all the true Braves be traded away.I am one of a few Braves fans, that actually pulled for the Braves when they couldn't win anything (for years).I don't really think I should have said shambles because one year doesn't destroy a whole organization.I am just one very disappointed Braves fan.That is pretty much what it all boils down to. :dunno:

Yeah, the Braves season is going very similar to the Vols year last year. I've been a Braves fan for a long, long time and they've frustrated the hell out of me for years, but what can you do? It's just going to be one of those years...

Looks like there might be a new closer. Sosa

I like this move. He's one of the few guys they've got who can blow people away. Maybe it will settle the bullpen down.
